Let me show you the southwest coast of Galicia. This tour visits, the very interesting Atlantic coast south of Vigo. The same route that pilgrims take is "The Portuguese Camino" from neighboring Portugal.
You will visit all the interesting places along this fantastic coast, like Baiona with its magnificent 16th-century fortress, where the Pinta arrived with the first news of the discovery of the new world, including a visit to the remains of a 100 bc celtic village and go across to Portugal to visit one of the very nice bordering towns with its fortress.

Baiona
Let me show you the southwest coast of Galicia. This tour visits, the very interesting Atlantic coast south of Vigo. The same route that pilgrims take is known as "The Portuguese Camino" from neighboring Portugal. We go from Vigo to visit Baiona with its fabulous fortress and the replica of the Pinta Carabel as here is where news of the new world first arrived. We will visit and take a coffee at the Parador a 16th-century castle overlooking the ocean with a view of the Cies Islands.
Real Mosteiro de Oia
We'll drive along the coast stopping at Oia with its monastery just by the ocean, doing a short walk of the town as we see the pilgrims on The Camino taking their break.

This excursion from Vigo was outstanding. The itinerary was perfectly planned and showcased the best of Galicia and northern Portugal in a single, unforgettable day. Baiona was a charming first stop, with its historic old town and beautiful seaside views setting the tone for the day. Visiting the Real Mosteiro de Oia was a highlight. A Guarda was lovely, but the real showstopper was Monte de Santa Trega. The panoramic views from the top were simply spectacular, with sweeping vistas of the ocean, the Miño River, and the surrounding countryside. My sons and I loved walking among the ancient Celtic ruins and exploring the mountain tops. Crossing into Portugal to visit Valença was the perfect finale. Our guide was a perfect host in taking us to a charming, historic restaurant and determining the incredible menu for lunch. The impressive fortress walls, cobblestone streets, and shops created a wonderful environment. Everything ran smoothly, the scenery was stunning, and we never felt rushed. This excursion offers an incredible mix of history, culture, and natural beauty, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Vigo.

We spent the day with Juanjo after we arrived on a cruise ship. He was easy to book the trip with and prompt on the arrival day. It was an awesome tour of the Galicia region and into Portugal. He was extremely knowledgeable about the area and history and took plenty of time at each stop for us to explore, take photos and enjoy. We highly recommend him and would definitely use his services again!
