Nguom Ngao Cave
Nguom Ngao Cave is a natural wonder nestled in Gun Village of Cao Bang Province in Northern Vietnam, which lies near the Vietnam-China border. This province is known for its stunning natural beauty, with lush mountains, picturesque valleys, and enchanting waterfalls. The name "Nguom Ngao" holds deep-rooted significance and is steeped in fascinating legends passed down through generations in the local community. In the Tay language, "Nguom" simply means cave, while "Ngao" means tiger. Together, "Nguom Ngao" stands for Tiger Cave. One of the most striking features of Nguom Ngao Cave is the colors of its stalactites. These stalactites, formed over millennia through mineral deposition from dripping water, have calcium mixed with various impurities. These impurities may include minerals like iron or copper, which add hues of red, brown, green, or even blue to the stalactites.

Visiting Angle Mountain was the highlight of the tour. The mountain's unique rock formations and panoramic vistas left us speechless. Our guide shared fascinating stories about the geological history of the area and its cultural significance, adding depth to our appreciation of this natural wonder. 5.00Spectacular place to relax in the nature away from Hanoi. The car ride to Cao Bang was a bit long for my liking but it was comfortable and the scenery was definitely worth it. Our lunch stop was tasty and I even bought some food to go. Highly recommend !

5.00Just got back from the most incredible day trip to Cao Bang with Up Travel ! Our guide, Son, was a total rockstar. He knew everything bout the area and made the whole experience super fun. Ban Gioc Waterfall was unreal - so powerful and beautiful. Nguom Ngao Cave was like stepping onto another planet ! Hoghly recommend this tour for anyone who wants to see a different side of Vietnam.

5.00We had a great time on our day trip to Bangioc Waterfall and Ngoum Ngao Cave. Our driver, Mr. Hoa, was super friendly and helpful, he organised the tickets for the waterfall park and for the cave, also bring us to have an amazing lunch in a local restaurant. Miss Kate, our point of contact in the agency was super friendly and helpful, helping with the language barriers and checking on us to see if we get what we want to see. I super recommend them for anyone interested in visiting Cao Bang Province.
