There are few experiences as wonderful as enjoying the spectacle of animals in their natural environment and without a doubt being able to see dolphins and whales up close is one of the most impressive. Sometimes there will be a few and sometimes there will be thousands of them but it's always fascinating
On our excursions you can see from the small common dolphin to the largest animal that has lived on the earth; the blue whale. But you will also have the possibility to see turtles, flying fish and other marine species.
You can see the beautiful coast from another perspective and you will also have the possibility to swim in the sea if you want.

What To Expect
Explore the waters of Gran Canaria and discover the wonderful world of cetaceans. This island is one of the most important places in Europe for marine diversity, with around 30 species, including dolphins, whales, orcas and porpoises. These incredible animals breathe air, have warm blood and feed their young, making each sighting a unique and special moment. With two daily departures from Puerto Rico, Gran Canaria, we depart at 10:30 am and 1:30 pm on a 2.5 hour adventure along the spectacular southwest coast of the island. Our boat, Spirit of the Sea, is equipped with a large glass bottom that allows a unique view of marine life beneath the waves. Our friendly multilingual team will accompany you with each sighting and provide you with information to recognize the different species. Although it is common to see dolphins, if in any case we fail to see them, we offer you a free pass to try again another day. Our mission is based on respect and care for marine life. We have the necessary permits from the Government of the Canary Islands and operate ethically to ensure the welfare of animals.

Saw dolphins, a turtle and flying fish

4.00There was a fairly strong swell the day we went but we have pretty good sea legs so not a problem for us. A few passengers were worse for wear but everyone perked up when we saw a pod of dolphins. The staff were very attentive making sure people were ok and helping those who needed it to move around the deck. All told we saw a pod of around 5-6 dolphins, a turtle and some flying fish, so not exactly a safari but that is nature watching and we were happy just to be out on the water and enjoying the view.

4.00It was a lovely experience and a lucky day because we had the chance to see some dolphins. Tickets were sold at the departure kiosk but it can be bought online as well. A 2 hour dolphins hunting. Beautiful atmosphere. Less crowded. Friendly staff.

1.00We were very much looking forward to this observation and due to many positive reviews actually believed in seeing dolphins and whales, unfortunately it was completely absent, instead in strong seas the ride was not cancelled from the start, but was extremely uncomfortable from minute one. My husband vomited several times, and we sat tense and suffering under a blanket for three hours, hopefully for the near end. That didn't come until three hours of constant torment. On the positive side, you really have to say that the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Nevertheless, we would like to act immediately in such situations and cancel the trips. We understandably refused a voucher for another ride, during which you might discover animals.

5.00We first saw a small group with a species of dolphins, then we went further out and found a large dolphin family with 2-300 dolphins of another species, was so fun to see! Saw flying fish but unfortunately no whales or turtles, I would have liked that. But very worth going!

4.00Very pleasant trip on the "Spirit of the Sea" in slightly rough seas. Good crew and free refreshments but sadly no sightings. A voucher was issued for a free return trip within 12 months which is great. Interesting or concerning no safety briefing was given and we we had no idea where the life jackets were located. Very unusual in my experience.
