What To Expect
Get ready for a thrilling adventure focused on respectfully observing the whales, dolphins and sea turtles of Huatulco! Our knowledgeable crew of marine biologists greets you with a short briefing about the whales, dolphins and sea turtles of Huatulco as we depart the marina. Humpback whales can be seen on 90% of the tours December through March. There are lifejackets for guests from 3 year old children up to 130kg adults. We have a hydrophone (underwater microphone) to listen to the whales singing and dolphins communicating. We take you further, traveling to areas uniquely known to our team and network of spotters for the most sightings. Our unique approach ensures us the most whale and dolphin sightings in Huatulco. As we observe the dolphins and whales our guide shares information about their amazing lives, current research and answers your questions. Our goal is to share amazing observations of the whales, dolphins, sea turtles and all the species we encounter. When it is time, we say 'Adios y Gracias' to the whales and dolphins, then cruise back to the Chahué marina for a short debriefing.

5.00We traveled alongside 2 adults with a calf for about a half hour, and then saw a pod of dolphins on our return trip. They gave my husband permission to jump in the water with his GoPro camera, but the dolphins were too quick. Also saw lots of turtles. In spite of large swells, the boat pilot did an amazing job. And we appreciate that they don't overbook, which meant we had plenty of room to move around.

5.00Ask questions. It’s not everyday you get hosted by a marine biologist. As a conservation photographer, I learned even more than I already knew. Saw many olive Ridley turtles and watched humpbacks: mom, calf and escort. The highlight was the fever of about 12 mobula rays! Even saw a few jump in the distance.
a little sad because the whales wouldn't even look out, but overall it was great.

5.00Seeing possibly 300 dolphins in one pod is something we will never forget, spotting a whale would have been like the icing on top of a cake. Maybe next time.

5.00I had such a fantastic experience that I booked on to the tour again the next day. Thank you to Scarlett and Tito for being a brilliant guide and captain, respectively. We saw humpback whales (mother and baby), many dolphins (and heard them echolocate), jumping manta rays, lots of sea turtles and all the while respected the creatures' space and regulations of the national park. I cannot recommend this more highly.

5.00We enjoyed the tour plenty! It was well organized and a small group on a small boat. The guides knew English and Spanish and they were very knowledgeable and spotting animals from far away. We didn't manage to see whales but we saw about hundred dolphins and many turtles and Mantas The tour was a little longer even in order for us to try another spot What I enjoyed most is that the guide seemed as excited as ourselves to see the animals

5.00Peter and his assistant provided an amazing trip. It was very informative and well worth the money. Though we didn't get to see a whale, we did see sharks, dolfins, manta rays jumping and even saw sea turtles mating. We highly recommend Oceanico for a wonderful experience while holidaying in Huatulco Mexico.
