Would recommend, Jane was a great host, and gave us the history behind the dishes we made. Dishes were delicious, as were the cocktails! Our experience would have been made even better if we each had our own cooking station, as we have had in other classes elsewhere. Each couple shared a burner on the stove, which was surprising given the price point. The room was very hot during the cooking. Some stoves had fans above them, ours did not. Of course it’s Mexico, so expect heat- but this was excessive. On balance was fun and delicious, and enjoyed our time with Jane, her helpers and the other students.

Took the Street Food class with Jane. All round awesome experience. Loved going to the small village where the class is held. Super Easy as they arranged for pick up and transport from our hotel to the class. (About a half hour drive). Fun and informative cooking class. We loved the food and drink.

The cooking class was amazing. Jane provided a detailed history and influences on the food of the area. We made salsas, tortillas with a variety of toppings. The location was about 20 minute ride from Huatalco resorts in a beautiful oasis in the hills. Refreshments beer, wine, juices , cocktails were provided to enjoy with our midmorning snack and lunch where we enjoyed our efforts. Jane’s assistants were wonderful & certainly saved our tortillas from being squished out of the press!

March 2025 This is hands down the best cooking class I've ever had. Jane is a food historian. While learning about preparations of local foods she is teaching you about the rich history behind the origins of certain ingredients being used. She is fun, lively, and committed to supporting the locals in her village through scholarships and employment. The food we prepared was delicious and eating together under the shade of a beautiful tree on her beautiful property was a treat. this is a must do when in Hualtulco. She also has a restaurant closer to town.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our cooking class with Jane and crew. The facility was very clean and quite comfortable. We met other travellers who also loved, and appreciated the wonderful tastes of Huatulco. Jane was very informative with her instructions of cooking, and also her in depth knowledge of the state of Oaxaca and Mexico. I highly recommend this class, you won't be disappointed. Thank you Jane! Deb & Tom Northern Ontario, Canada
