Docked at alternate site, missed our tour

3.00Unfortunately, we missed our tour by 10 minutes (no refund, but no hard feelings). Our ship did not dock at Roseau Cruise Ship Berth as we had anticipated, but at the Woodbridge Bay facility for cargo/passengers. Had we docked at the Roseau Cruise Ship Berth, our tour pick-up would have been RIGHT THERE, but by the time we realized what was going on and caught a shuttle to the correct location, we were too late. Intent on NOT missing the tubing adventure, we spent an additional $200 to a local driver to catch us up to another tour. Still had a great time tubing. It was the perfect storm of mishaps—wrong docking spot, me missing the phone calls from the Viator tour operator trying to find us, not enough time to rectify the situation (had we debarked 30 minutes earlier, we would have been fine). I’m just posting this as advice to others…get off your ship much earlier if you are not doing a ship-sponsored excursion to leave time for mishaps; be aware that you might dock at Woodbridge Bay instead of the Roseau Cruise Ship Berth (our cruise ship did not tell us this ahead of time), and make sure your phone is operating properly. I’m not sure if the tour operator can tell ahead if time if the ship will dock at Woodbridge Bay so they can warn you—probably not. I did contact them the day before to confirm pick-up location, but obviously neither of us knew. The instructions I was given was for the Roseau Cruise Ship Berth. Even though we missed the tour, I’m giving three stars because I don’t want to sink the ratings.

5.00These guys were great. My only criticism was that we were supposed to leave at 1:00 and it’s was 1:25 on very hot day with no place to sit and wait.
Fun river tubing, got to ride the rapids with experts to guide you and gently float along to relax and observe birds etc

5.00Soo much fun, loved riding the tubes over the rapids and then so peaceful just floating a d looking at Birds and jungle vegetation and cliffs; guides were always there to help guide you. Excellent experience.

5.00River temperature and air temperature were perfect. Rapids are just enough to be fun without feeling unsafe. The guides were great! It was a blast!

5.00If you’re looking for some “Irie”, get in a tube and travel down the river with these guys!! Super fun time, and the dip into the Emerald Pool and waterfall after the tubing was spectacular. Our tour guide Patrickson Henderson and driver Ecarr were great!! Wacky…..Rollers!!! Rum…..Punch!!! Beautiful ….Dominica!!

5.00It was a well managed tour and the staff were there to ensure everyone was safe and got to the end. Rum cocktails were available at the end and this river trip is highly recommended where most people can do it.

3.00The kayaking started in the sea and proved quite difficult with the tide and waves. We had specifically asked about this and told it would only be a small portion of the excursion. We were extremely tired by the time we reached the more sedate river. Our guides were very good. One was an experienced kayaker but the other wasn't.
