Enjoyed a great tour led by Daniel. Really fun and informative. A great way to learn about Irish whiskey for someone new to it, and a great way to increase your appreciation if you’re already a fan. Definitely recommend!

This was the perfect first stop and experience of Ireland! Breen, our tour guide was informative and funny! Afterwards we did a tasting; the general ticket you taste 3 whiskey’s, my favorite was Powers.

The Whiskey Museum was quite interesting. Each part of the tour is in a different setting and our guide was very knowledgeable and eagerly answered any questions we had. It was fun to learn how to correctly taste whiskey and the whiskey itself was very good.

We had a great tour with Vanessa and she made it very entertaining and informative as she took us through the experience. She gave us facts as she narrated what we were seeing and added some humour about the apothecary, shebeen and the Victorian Bar. With each room you go to you have to sit and listen or watch some footage. The Victorian Bar was pretty well done with prominent whiskey makers. The last level is the Tasting Bar where we got to try three different whiskeys and they had recommendations for how to enjoy them which we appreciated. We purchased the classic tour which costs 23 euros per person and we felt it was worth it to learn a bit about Irish and whiskey's history. There is a premium option, Irish whiskey making class and a blending experience they offer as well. Tickets usually sell out the day of but we were able to book for the next day. You can't choose who you go with but we were with a large group that took away from the experience because they were talking over some parts of the presentation and not listening to the guide at the tasting bar. Vanessa kept it professional and chose to ignore them at some points. They have a bar by reception called McDonnell's Whiskey Bar and it was open after our tour so we had a couple of nice cocktails here. They make a good old fashioned and sell a variation of tasting boards so you can try quite a few different whiskeys at different price points. The bar was very quiet when we visited so we had time to relax and unwind a bit as we enjoyed our drinks. The Irish Whiskey Museum is located just to the west of Trinity College and just south of the Temple Bar area. Lots of souvenir shops and restaurants in this area. The museum also has a gift shop so you will surely find something to bring home in this area if you're interested.

We were bummed we couldn’t take the boys on some other tours bc they weren’t 18. This was a great alternative! We learned a lot about the history of Irish whiskey. Our two teen boys also enjoyed it (a win!) and they got a free Coke while we did the tasting. Our guide was very knowledgable and she was funny too.

This was our first venture into Irish whiskey. Being Scottish we have been to many distillery tours, all pretty much similar but tweaked to their own brand. This was by far the best we’ve ever done! Colm was absolutely brilliant, so funny and a great story teller, he has us laughing the whole way through and we learned so much. Obviously Scotch Whisky is far superior but we can’t compete with this banter! What a great tour

I had done this tour before many years ago, but it was great to do it again as part of our work Christmas outing. Briain was a wonderful guide, great energy and gave a lot of good information. I like the way the tour is laid out, going through the different rooms saves you getting bored - and having seats makes it all so comfortable. I like that this museum doesn't focus on a particular whiskey brand, it is a great starting point if you have no whiskey knowledge and you could always check out one of the gorgeous Dublin distilleries afterwards to expand that knowledge.

Great experience with Calm our guide. My wife and I had an amazing time. Recommend to anyone, even non-drinker, as the information shared is invaluable and very well presented (and fun!).
