Registan

Gur Emir Mausoleum

Gur-i-Amir Mausoleum is one of the most remarkable historical monuments in Samarkand and the final resting place of the great conqueror Timur. Built in the 15th century, the mausoleum is famous for its magnificent turquoise dome, elegant arches, and richly decorated interior covered with gold and intricate patterns.
