Our walking tour in the ruins of Pompeii will be fabulous. Far from the crowds, I will lead you through the streets of the City like being on a time machine. We will learn how was every-day-life 2000 years ago.
I will softly drive you along the sublime Amalfi Coast. You could take pictures of spectacular fjords and panoramas. Usually there is pretty time to enjoy two coastal villages plus Pompeii. I suggest to stop at Positano and Sorrento or Amalfi and Ravello or Positano and Amalfi.
I will be punctual, and flexible in the setting of the itinerary that we can establish in advance but we can change it, too, as the day goes by.

One day is not enough to explore the whole Amalfi Coast. I normally manage to stop in one or two of the villages. The suggested itineraries are Positano and Sorrento or Amalfi and Ravello, or Amalfi and Positano. Please, feel free to ask where would you like to stop and how long.
The tour is totally private and customizable. There will be no-one else but your party and our driver-guide
Please, wear comfy shoes for the visit of Pompeii and do not forget to bring sunblock for the summertime visits
If a party member does not want to enter the ruins of Pompeii there is the chance to stay and wait in cafes and shops located just in front of the entrance of the Ruins.

What To Expect
Pompeii Archaeological Park
Pompeii is the "Buried City". Swallowed by the ashes of the eruption of Mt Vesuvius of 79 AD it was rediscovered in 1600. Far from the buzz of the crowds, we will explore Pompeii walking into the foot-steps of its ancient citizens: an unscrupulous merchant, a lazy patrician, a powerful matron, a slave, or an invincible gladiator. You will learn about their everyday life, political and love intrigues. I will show you the Forum, political and religious center of the Town, and all the administrative buildings surrounding it: The Basilica (Palace of Justice), the Temple of Apollo, the Macellum (market place), the Temple of Jupiter and the Granaries. You will see plaster casts of victims who died suffocated during the eruption. We will enter luxury Private Homes to discover majestic gardens, vibrant frescoes and sophisticated mosaics. We will explore Bath-Houses and ancient taverns, bakeries (Pistrinia) and Thermopolia (wine and food bars). The tour is at your own pace and flexible.
Positano
If selected on tour Positano could be combined with the visit of Sorrento or Amalfi. Positano is known as the "Vertical Village" as it was built on the slopes of an imposing limestone hill which has the silhouette of a pyramid. Before getting there, we can stop along the Amalfi drive to take breathtaking pictures of the Village from above. Then we drive downtown to let you stroll through its colorful alleys flanked by handmade ceramic and sandals’ workshops, refined art galleries and ateliers showing elegant linen dresses typical of the famous Positano Fashion Style. The beach is very close and here you have the chance to swim. Positano is charming and wild at the same time. Here you enjoy the pure Mediterranean atmosphere.

5.00The day tour w/Giuseppe was wonderful, from the ease of pick up at the port to the timely drop off. Giuseppe was knowledgeable, personable and efficient - we started early (7:30 AM) and strategically stayed ahead of the large tour groups all day. He was a pro in that regard, as well as driving the winding roads of the Amalfi! Giuseppe’s restaurant recommendation near Pompeii was fabulous as well. Would highly recommend this tour as well as Giuseppe as a guide. You cannot go wrong with either! A very enjoyable day.

5.00First off, Guiseppe was a gracious, warm, and knowledgeable guide! He was able to provide great advice to help make the trip even more enjoyable. Guiseppe was extremely knowledgeable about Pompeii and the Amalfi coast - the scenery along the drive was incredible! And best of all, as a small group we were able to gather and engage with Guiseppe WITHOUT the need of those annoying headsets! Can't recommend this enough!

5.00This was a great day! We really enjoyed the time looking for the ruins, and Giuseppe was a great guide and he is very informative, but let us decide what we wanted to do. He was very conscientious for what he needed and always helpful and professional.. Dino our driver was awesome and was always where he needed to be and always had the AC blasting for us!

5.00We truly enjoyed the time with Dino and Giuseppe. Giuseppe was very attentive and answered many of our questions and requests and has shown us so many beautiful places off the beaten path. We have learned so much about the culture and people who lived in Pompeii as well as history of the region and people of Amalfi. Definitely a must do trip to take if you are visiting only for a short time and want to get the best!

He helped us curate a terrific itinerary utilizing the time we had and insuring we were back to the cruise port in a reasonable time. We visited Amalfi, Ravello, & Pompeii. Giuseppe knows the perfect spots to drop off/pickup and provided insightful commentary throughout the drive. He is a safe driver and even our youngest daughter, who gets carsick, had no problems on the very windy roads. During our tour at Pompeii Giuseppe provided an incredible amout of historical content and facts. We learned so much and are grateful we had the opportunity to learn from him. 5.00This is THE best experience money can buy! Dino was our Driver, more about him later. Natalia, was our host and guide at Pompeii. She was Amazing. Her tour was informative, went at a great pace, and her ability to skip through ques was worth every penny. For me there would be absolutely no other way I would experience this archeological mind blowing experience. Now to Dino, he was one of the kindest, easy going, guides we’ve ever encountered. A slight language barrier but everyone worked together to understand our goals of the day. Dino easily pivoted when something arose and we wanted to make an adjustment. At one point he told us he only wished to take care of us and our needs and we truly felt he meant that throughout the day. He made our lunch reservations. Saw to it we had the best table with the best views, saw we were “picture people” So he would stop to get us our perfect pictures. All day, constantly checking if everything was ok, if we needed water, restroom, and just courtesy things. We never felt rushed and always felt we were his #1 priority. It is truly a VIP experience. I would highly recommend this tour and if you’re lucky enough to get Dino has you’re Driver you will have not only a great day, but a great new friend.

5.00We had an excellent tour stopping at Pompeii, Ravello and Amalfi. Dino, our guide, was a great driver and gave us plenty of time at each stop. He also booked us a place for pizza after pompeii, which was great as my wife wife really wanted to try pizza while in the Napoli region. When leaving Amalfi he gave us the option to take the longer scenic route down the Amalfi coast, which we enjoyed. He also made time for a quick stop for coffee and ceramics shopping in Vietri. Would recommend this tour to get a taste of pompeii and the Amalfi Coast while in port on a cruise ship
