It was a great day once in Gibralter and the dolphins turned up. Only problem was at border. Surprisingly because we had UK passports we were treated very differently from EU who just waved passports and walked through. We and a few other passports had to be checked and scanned. The guide didn't seem to know this so she left with most people to bus. I'm sure she would have returned, but we found bus. It seems ridiculous it was so difficult for UK citizens to enter Gibralter for a day from Spain. It seems EU bureaucracy is punishing UK citizens as we also found with automatic fingerprint and face recognition machines which didn't work in Malaga resulting in an hour waiting at manual border control alongside 100s of other UK citizens.

Almost 8 hours on a bus to spend 4 hours in Gibraltar. The visit at the Rock was as expected and staff were excellent just too long on the bus!!

I traveled about 3 hours to get to Gibraltar and chose the dolphin watch activity. It was in the middle of the day, so I couldn’t really do anything else before or after. The dolphin watch itself was really good — I loved seeing them! I just wish the schedule was better organized so you could do more while you’re there. If you want to see more things, maybe plan a different way to go.

If your goal is to see dolphins and check the box for a visit to The Rock with a stamp in your passport, this is the trip for you. If you want to experience and see the famous sight of Gibraltar, including the caves, monkeys, etc, then take the other tour.

Good folks and was okay, but from pickup to drop off was 12 hours. Boat ride was less than 90 minutes. So very long day on bus with lots of stops to pickup folks. If you have a full day to fill its cheap enough but not sure 12 hours is worth a short boat ride.
