This was an extremely well organized cooking experience. The 2 women who showed us how to prepare the dishes (and the granny in the kitchen cleaning up) clearly love their job and were very gracious and helpful. I’m actually a public health physician and the hand washing and food prep were carefully done so I felt very safe eating the food. Great experience especially for couples or families working together to make food. Highly recommend.

First time in Singapore and decided to take up a cooking class. I had a blast learning the culture and history behind the food. Jenn and Cindy both did an amazing job teaching the class and working with everyone. 10/10 would highly recommend even for beginners.

We had such a fun experience learning to make nasi lemak, sambal shrimp, and kueh dadar! It’s something new to us and it is cool to learn little tips and tricks along the way, and how to make it at home! Jenn and Mary were both wonderful instructors!

Lovely experience at food playground. Helen was very hospitable and cheerful. She had lots of stories to share and lots of knowledge of traditional Singaporean dishes. Lots of fun cooking getting hands on with the ingredients and tasting our own creations. They were super helpful accomodating my vegan diet, absolutely no problem making necessary swaps. Felt very included and warmly welcomed. Can fully recommend! Special shout out to the lovely Selene to clean up after ourselves.

Excellent cooking class. Good instructors, friendly, informative, plenty of tips and very well prepared. They covered some food culture and history before we started cooking. We were taught, hands on, three dishes, a desert, fried spring rolls and a Laksa where we made the laksa paste from scratch. We learnt a lot, produced some great tasting food and had a lot of fun. Thank you Hera and Helen.
