We had Brian as a guide for our trip to Mai Chau and Pu Luong. Brian is a very nice guide, who provides a lot of information. He knows when to go to the touristic places, for example early in the morning to avoid crowds. He is helpfull and kind. We definitely recommend Brian!

My husband and I had an amazing time exploring Mai Chau with our guide, Brian! He was very knowledgeable and friendly, always taking the time to explain things clearly and share fascinating insights about the local life and culture. We were in a small group with another couple, and the five of us instantly hit it off! The trip began with a cycling tour through the rice fields and villages, with a few stops along the way. We finished at Chieu Cave, also known as the Thousand Steps Cave (since you have to climb 1,000 steps to reach it). The effort was definitely worth it – the cave was fascinating, and the view of the valley from the top was breathtaking. By the end it was so hard to part ways after sharing such a memorable experience together. We definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area. Thank you Brian for a most wonderful experience! 💗

We loved the trip very much, especially because we had such a cheerful, warmhearted and knowledgeable guide as Hung. He has an extensive knowledge of Vietnam history and local peoples lives. The trip takes you to visit the less traveled places, and it was such a privilege to be there, walk amidst rice paddies and witness the beauty of this relatively untouched nature. There was a good balance of activities and relaxation. What we also liked was the small size of the group (we were 4 ppl) and the second accommodation in Pu Luong Eco Gardens with wonderful vistas. Thank you so much!

We booked the english speaking tour for 3d/2n. The tourguide Double however hardly spoke any english and it required a lot of immagination to try to understand what he was trying to say. He also did not understand what any of us where asking. The only way to communicate with him was thru google translate. The overall communication was very confusing from him. Since he could not really communicate with us he stuck to fooling around with the driver during the bike ride and in the hotel. The first day we didn’t do the listed program. A 1,5h bikeride in Mai Chau….rest waiting without any communication. 2nd day we all insisted (via google translate!) that we stuck to the program and we ended up doing the program from day 2 and 3, so day 3 was just waiting till after lunch so we could go back home. It turned out that this was for the better as 3 out of 7 in the group got foodpoisoning and were sick all night from the lunch in the homestay/restaurant by the waterfall. Both hotels were very nice and clean and staf was helpfull and polite. Both Mai Chau and Pu Luong are nice areas…it would have been nice if we have had an english speaking guide to tell us what we were seeing…good thing we could look up some information on internet and share with eachother in de group.

This was our 5th tour in Vietnam & although it was excellent in many ways, the tour operator did leave us a bit disappointed. Due to a car accident (out of their control) we missed some of the itinerary. However, the main issue was our guide didn’t seem as knowledgeable as other tour guides so we didn’t learn so much about the local area. He was superb in some ways (eg problem solving) and has excellent English but he seemed more distracted and distant vs others we’ve met. We discovered he had not been to the area for 6 years. For one part of the trip he brought in his uncle for help who was very good & did have local knowledge. With all of that said, we enjoyed 90% of the tour - the places we stayed were lovely, the transport excellent & also the food. When we reported these issues back to the tour operator, they didn’t seem interested. Had they responded with more understanding I would have given this tour 4 stars (for reference every other Vietnamese tour i have reviewed = 5 stars).

Despite some misunderstandings in the itinerary that Stewie ( the tour-guide) solved perfectly, I had a wonderful trip. I could finally experience a motorbike ride in Viet Nam thanks to him. Stewie was furthermore very attentive, flexible and knowledgeable and a great company. It is visible that he likes this part of Viet Nam. I got to immerse myself in stunning views and nice and at times challenging treks. Luckily Stewie is there to lend a hand ( literally). The people I have met during the hiking were friendly and welcoming, which made the trip even more memorable. The accommodations were wonderful and I was so happy that both my rooms had a mosquito-net, as mosquitos love me. If you are looking for an active couple of days in a tranquil area, I highly recommend this tour.
