5.00My wife and I had an amazing day with Captain Max exploring the coast and caves of the Algarve. The intimate and personalized experience was worth every penny, and it was a true highlight of our two weeks in Portugal. From the amazing picnic box of snacks, amazing wine, and delicious lunch served on board from a local restaurant, this was a one-of-a-kind experience. Max goes above and beyond to make sure you have a special day on the water.

5.00Our family had an amazing day with Mad Max and his crew, João and Manuel. This was our first time visiting the Algarve and we wanted a special day on the water, exploring the caves and coves up close, and it ended up being even better than we expected. Max made the entire process easy and enjoyable. He was very responsive and helpful during booking, planning and meeting on the day of the charter. He met us for coffee in Lagos before boarding the catamaran, Hono. He was very open to customizing food, beverages and the day’s itinerary to make sure our experience was right for us. The Hono was very nice with plenty of options for sun on the bow net or shade around the table toward the aft. It had all the comfort and conveniences you could want. The paddle boards were great for getting close into smaller caves and coves. João and Manuel were very professional and attentive to anything we needed the entire day. Max went above and beyond, meeting us in his “Ferrari” Tempest at one of our cave stops so we could venture into the bigger caves in a luxury zodiac boat. Thank you Max, João and Manuel for providing a day of life long memories. We hope to see you again sometime soon!

5.00Wonderful experience with children, nurses and five grandchildren! Everyone had a lot of fun. We made a picnic provided by Max, who led us with a lot of safety and dexterity, and also took us to an excellent restaurant in Alvor. All we have to do is thank Max for showing us this beautiful piece of Portugal so competently! 100% recommended!

5.00This tour was part of my parents’ first trip to Portugal and after a jampacked week, it was the very best way to end our time here and we couldn’t have been in better hands than with Max. He was extremely communicative ahead of the tour itself and very accommodating to the places we want to see, etc. Unfortunately but to no fault of his, we were unable to see many of the things within the original itinerary due to the conditions of the water, but Max made it worth our time nonetheless, making sure to give us a truly authentic and local experience, 100% tailored to what we were interested in doing. On top of a great day, he made sure we had plenty of options to drink and to eat, always attentive alongside his assistant to our every need. 10/10 would recommend booking with Algarve On Tour - we cannot wait to come back and will always treasure this day! The captain, Max, tailored the tour based on our needs, from entertaining the Kids, giving pro tips about nice photos, while providing excellent food and drinks. When he played Hans Zimmer during sunset, with a local Rosé in hand, was the best moment for me. Cant recommend more!

5.00Max and Rudy were both great ! They knew the area well and explained everything including the history of the Algarve , they made us feel safe on the boats as well. Max also helped coordinate lunch for us at a local restaurant after . Definitely went over and above for us ! Highly recommend.

5.00Max is incredible! He is experienced, personable, and beyond thoughtful! My mom isn’t the best swimmer/has a fear of water and he made us all feel so safe. He truly tailored the day to our preferences, even stopping for a gorgeous lunch. He provided snacks, wine, and drinks, towels, and an incredible history of the caves and water. Truly the highlight of our trip! We will be back!

5.00We had a wonderful boat tour from Lagos Marina with Max. He shared his knowledge of the area and made sure we were safe and comfortable as we toured the caves. Twelve adults was a little tight but since we are good friends it worked out great to have the boat to ourselves. Max certainly entertained us with his charm and went above and beyond extending our trip to watch the sunset. Fantastic tour, highly recommend.
