  • New Fear of Ferries🤢

I loved seeing the islands and our guide on Innismore was very informative having grown up there. The ferry ride there and back was another story. There was a storm on our original date, so we rescheduled for the next day and though there was no rain, the waters were so rough that I couldn’t even go out on the deck to see the cliffs. The boat was rocking so violently I thought it would capsize. I wasn’t the only one feeling sick and holding on for dear life. The crew was passing out bags. I have never been so happy to be back on solid ground. I have seen photos taken on days when the water was still, so I am sure our experience was atypical, but I recommend asking if the water is calm before taking this tour.

The ferry ride alone offers a great experience, especially with the jaw dropping views of the Cliffs of Mohr from the sea, but Micheal's bus tour of Inis Mor was unforgettable!

A Gem of a Journey Along Ireland’s Wild West Coast From the moment the ferry departed the Galway coast, the journey to the Aran Islands was pure magic—crisp Atlantic air, seabirds wheeling overhead, and the faint silhouette of Inis Mór emerging like something out of myth. On arrival, the guided bus tour wrapped us in local legend and charm, weaving past dry-stone walls, windswept fields, and ancient forts that seemed to whisper stories to the sea breeze. And the cherry on top? As we cruised back toward the mainland, the Cliffs of Moher rose into view—majestic and solemn, like guardians of the coast. Seeing them from the water offered a whole new perspective: dramatic, humbling, and absolutely unforgettable.

  • Worth the trip. Just cannot control the weather unfortunately.

Informative and fluid pickup and dropoff points. Ferry is big and smooth on larger waves. Island guide Mike was funny and educational on the Aran history. Seeing the Cliffs of Moher from ferry view a perfect way to leave islands.

  • Excellent tour all...

Excellent tour all around. From the little things like picking us up from the hotel to our excellent guide Micheal, this was one of our best days in Ireland. Colleen reached out to confirm everything the morning of, picked us up from our hotel, drove us to the ferry, and then passed us on to Micheal on the island. Micheal contacted us as soon as we arrived and guided us to where he was located so we could start the tour. We were lucky enough to be the only group he had that day so in essence we had a private tour. Micheal showed us the island, talked about the culture and history of island life and even had lunch with us. Can’t recommend Colleen and Micheal enough. Have already been passing their information on to friends who are going to the island.

This was an amazing experience for our family. Colleen is an awesome guide. She knows the area so well and it is clear that she has a strong relationship with the people who live in the areas we visited and the other travel professionals we met along the way. Ireland is such a beautiful and dramatic place and the people are so friendly - we spent 3 weeks in our Ireland visit and she is by far the best tour guide we had.

Colleen was a very good tour guide. She contacted us the day before our excursion to make sure we were clear on pick up location and time. She purchased all tickets ahead of time and accompanied us on the ferry making sure we knew the best places to sit. She had a car waiting when we reached the island and took us directly to the castle. After our visit to the castle she drove us around the island providing interesting information about other locations. We never felt rushed and enjoyed the day very much.
