The journey is made in total comfort aboard a minibus, always accompanied by an expert guide who will share interesting facts and insights about the region throughout the day.
Departure is at 08:00 AM from the meeting point at Calçada da Vandoma, heading towards the Douro Valley through landscapes marked by terraced vineyards and the winding Douro River.
The first experience of the day will be a visit to Quinta de S. Luiz (or similar), a historic wine estate connected to Douro wine production. Here, you will have the opportunity to learn about the estate’s history, the region’s winemaking traditions, and production methods.
Next, you will enjoy a boat trip on the Douro River, where you can relax while admiring the unique scenery from the water, surrounded by vineyards and traditional wine estates.
On the way back, there will be a stop at the São Cristóvão do Douro Viewpoint, where you can enjoy panoramic views over the valley and take photos of this iconic landscape.

5.00this was a phenomenal experience. our guide and driver, miguel and tiago, were absolutely amazing. definitely the best guiding experience i have had. they made the drives feel so short and easy. as for the wine tours, the wines were great and so was all the information that the wine cellar workers gave to us. if you are wanting a great douro valley tour without the all day commitment, do this tour with miguel and tiago. they are the best you are going to get!

5.00It was a great experience. Learned a lot and got to try some amazing wine. The drive in from porto was stunning and the views in the valley were even better. The boat ride was nice as well. The best part of the tour were Tiago, the driver and Miguel, the guide. They were very knowledgeable about the region and shared their knowledge in an interactive and humorous manner. Miguel might need to work on the dad jokes a bit, but he gets a pass since the tour is still new. Definitely worth the price.

5.00Miguel and Tiago were the best guides. Informative, helpful, and kept it interesting. Truly made it a great time for all. The trip was small enough that we could ask questions comfortably and all staff were more than happy to answer for us. Tiago and Miguel even gave us great recommendations for where to get lunch after the tour which is why we chose the half day. Now we still feel energized enough to continue to tour around the rest of the day.

5.00Fantastic trip and definitely something I would recommend to anyone visiting Porto. The Douro Valley is beautiful and absolutely worth seeing. Our guide, Diogo, was excellent – very knowledgeable, engaging, and shared many interesting stories along the way, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The winery was stunning and the lunch was very tasty. Everything was well organised and the scenery along the route was amazing. Overall, a great experience and one of the highlights of our trip.
