Start the tour after being picked up from the Albufeira area. First historical visit is the old Moorish capital of Silves, with its amazing castle and well preserved cathedral and learn about its history. From Silves we continue our journey toward the Monchique mountains, this by roads where the big buses can’t go and therefore possible to enjoy amazing views over the Algarve’s coastline and Monchique’s beautiful nature. Next visit is the historical city Lagos, from where the Portuguese age of discovery began under the command of prince Henry the navigator. Here you have various options like lunch, visiting museums or just exploring its old town and admiring the historical sites. In the afternoon we continue our journey towards Cape Saint Vincent also known as the End of the World before the discovery of the new world. This is the most south western tip of our mainland Europe where you can enjoy amazing views of the beautiful cliffs where land meets the Atlantic ocean.

5.00The guide/driver was very knowledgeable and ready to share it. Very nice trip with a bit of everything - history, geography, local customs, ... The van was a bit aged. Would recommend 100%. Pickup was on time and everything went by the clock. He even added a little extra stop at the end.

3.00It’s a very long day, a lot of travelling to see set sights. I enjoyed the castle (needed longer there), I like the town Lagos, had a perfect amount of time there as I had packed a lunch, if we’d needed food would have wanted longer. An awful long time in the back of a vehicle with a “cool” air blower to take the heat off. We had a nice group of people.
The trip was very interesting with lots of sights and our guide paolo was brilliant had so much information to share
