Our trip will take us in the amazing Otranto seacoast surrounded by a lovely Mediterranean scrubland.

I'll drive you to Otranto, one of the most beautiful coastal villages in Salento, where you can have your independent tour enjoying the ancient city. After that we transfer to the Bauxite Lake and to the Palascia Lighthouse with their breathtaking views.

In Torre Sant'Andrea and Torre dell'Orso you could find out the clearest water you've ever seen in Puglia and one of the most beautiful natural pools in the world.

The visit times will be very flexible, depending on your needs, and you could also swim in your favorite place, so bring your swim gear.

Transfer from Lecce to Otranto 45 min - Otranto, one of the most lovely coastal villages in Salento. Every corner highlight the different civilizations who lived here like Romans, Byzantines, Ottomans and Aragonese. You'll have free time for visiting the amazing Cathedral, the Saint Peter Church in Byzantine style, the Castle and the gorgeous Walls that surround the whole ancient city.

Cava di Bauxite

Transfer from Otranto to Bauxite Lake 10 min - A small lake grew in an abandoned bauxite quarry characterized by an impressive red color of the ground surrounded by Mediterranean scrubland. It has become a must-see in the latest years for all tourists. You'll enjoy the whole area after a little walk on a dirt road that will take you to amazing viewpoints.

Travel on October 13th in the off-season and the Service was exclusive to me and my lady. Mauricio the Chauffeur and Sandra as a guide gave us a pleasant and professional reception. That is if the tour is not in Spanish, but with the translator of the cell phone we understood perfectly

This tour is fabulous. Maurizio & Rita are so lovely. The sights you see are beautiful and varied - from Otranto to the eastern most point of Europe and then the stunning coast. We were also able to adapt the tour and have lunch at a gorgeous seaside restaurant rather than in Otranto. Being able to travel around safely rather than drive ourselves and without a lot of other tour participants was so stress free and relaxing. I would recommend this tour to everyone!

We had a lovely time with Bob and his beautiful wife a few Saturdays ago touring around Otranto and other attractions further south. Bob was easy to communicate with and was very accommodating. He shared his knowledge of the area freely. It was a very personal tour as we were the only ones with them so he was able to tailor the itinerary to our interests. This was so much better than a group tour and is especially great if you don’t have want to drive but want to see and experience the area but prefer not to rely on public transportation. This allowed us to visit the area at a nice relaxing pace. I would recommend this tour without hesitation. Bob will give you an authentic and truly enriching experience.

I highly recommend this day trip. If like us you do not wish to drive while staying here in Lecce, this is the perfect way to see the area beyond the train line. We were picked up by Bob and his wife in his car close to our accommodation. We were taken to all the sites mentioned with no time pressures. Bob was very knowledgeable at each location with added information along the way. The choice of locations are a perfect mix for all tastes, with the added bonus of swimming time at a most beautiful beach. We really had the most wonderful day.

This excursion was led by a lovely couple from Lecce who really knew the lay of the land. They were very accommodating tailoring the trip to our needs and interest. Otranto is really special and different. The bluest clearest water and massive cliffs. One of my favorite stops. We ended the day at a white sandy beach.

The tour is given by a very nice couple. They use Google translate to communicate and they seem take people from many nationalities on the tour. They took us to many wonderful places that we would not have known about otherwise.

Wonderful experience- felt like I was visiting with relatives and they were taking us sightseeing. Lots of beautiful stops and great information shared. Highly recommend!
