What To Expect

Immerse in the local wine culture and taste 4 different wines. The Wine tasting takes place in a beautiful location, La Strada del Vino Wine Bistrot, with an incredible view over a Baroque alley close to many hotels in the old town and to the Basilica di Santa Croce. Our wine expert will guide you in the tasting of 4 differents wines paired with 4 local foods. This is the perfect experiences for wine lovers, couples, small groups, friends and families.

    First, wines tasted were great and the food pairings delicious. Our sommelier was just outstanding, he was very knowledgeable about the local wine scene yet provided fun and intriguing stories about our wines and food pairings. This was a great experience.

    The host provided 4 different wines with 4 different snacks. Explained about each wine & the food they were paired with. It was a small group, English,French & Norwegian. Very enjoyable experience.

    The host might be late, service very slow. Wines weren’t the best, Puglia has some amazing wines but none were there for our tasting unfortunately

    The owner proceeded with the wine and food tasting even though I was the only person! And he kindly did it in Italian since there were no other guests for whom English would have been the better language. He gave background of the grapes and the location, why the location influences the flavor, the way the grapes get fermented, and more. He described the nose of the wines and the flavors, and what goes well with them. The food samples were generous and very tasty! Also the wine samples were very generous. All in all, I had a lovely experience, learned more about the local wines, and enjoyed it all while looking out at the cozy streets and houses in front of the restaurant, and watching the people go by. I would definitely recommend this tasting! I found the price very reasonable for what the owner offered in wine, food, and expertise.

    Excellent food and wines tasted, but it was in the main part of the restaurant, and was very noisy, so hard to hear and understand the guide. He talked to us in between looking after his restaurant patrons, so not very personal.
