My girlfriend and I joined the 10am tour and thoroughly enjoyed our Funky Iceland history tour with Lalli! The storytelling and chronological history was told in an incredibly engaging manner that’s perfect to retain the interesting information. It’s the best way to start your trip in Iceland and get the full story of its creation, settlement, and all the way up to present day. It also really helps to get familiar with the layout of Reykjavik. Highly recommend for anyone! It’s well paced with breaks and moments to sit, warm up, and use the bathroom (as well as having a snack!). Our 10am tour ended at 12.30pm sharp. Hope so many more people can experience the storytelling from Lalli, spread the word, and come away feeling excited + inspired to see the world with an open mind 😊

I cannot stress how much we enjoyed this tour. We landed in Iceland at 6am and did the 10am walking tour to help us stay awake. I think it very nice to learn the history & local tips on the first day of the trip. I went with my my husband and two teenagers, my teenagers were not excited about it, afterwards, they said how thankful they were I booked it. They loved the info Lolli told us. He is very kind, knowledgeable and funny. Book it!

Our guide was amazing and I would definitely recommend this to others. The tour covers everything you’d want to know (with plenty of room for questions and knowledgeable answers in between), and covers some unique areas of the downtown area. They even treat you to some included classic Icelandic food. The guide was very nice and funny, and I might consider this my favorite walking tour I’ve done. 10/10

Just did the Funky Iceland History Walk in Reykjavík—WOW! As an American traveler, I loved how Lalli mixed hilarious stories with real history. Vikings, quirky traditions, and local secrets you won’t find in any guidebook. Fun, interactive, and the guide’s humor? Top-notch. If you want culture with a side of laughs, this is THE tour. Also got plenty of post tour recommendations to check out from my guide.

This was our first tour in Iceland, and we learned a lot. Lolli did a great job sharing the history of Iceland with many stories along the way. He also told us about the local area and how to save money during our trip. Our guide Lolli gave us a very personal experience, and we enjoyed the hot dog too!

Excellent tour. Not only covers the history of Iceland but also cultural and Icelander heritage. Guide Lalli is very engaging and a fund of interesting facts and trivia. The tour ends at the long standing hotdog stand with a tasty hotdog that is included in the tour price. Highly recommend this walking tour which is not at all strenuous. But dress warmly if it is windy.

Toured with Lalli yesterday on our arrival into Reykjavik. An amazing tour, Lalli was both informative and fun. We learned a lot about the city and the country and enjoyed his stories intermixed with facts. The neighborhoods were walked through along with the narrative gave us insight into daily living in Iceland. The tour ended with a genuine Iceland hotdog. What could be better? Highly recommend Lalli on your next visit.
