What a great place to visit. The Foynes flying boat Museum is a great place to visit. It was very informative, with a lovely guide and also AI. It's so nice to see so many items saved from the past from a passport, menu to the original uniform. You can even go inside a remake of the clipper. It is so spacious compared to todays planes and the seats were surprisingly comfortable, even though they do not look it! Climb up into the cockpit and see the pilots view. There is also a section devoted to Maureen O'Hara. Finish your trip with a wonderful Irish coffee, with or without the whiskey!

This is an excellent tour for aviation enthusiasts. It provided great insight to the early days of trans-Atlantic flying and the pioneers who made it happen. Well worth the time.

Unexpected instructive I loved it. The view of the harbour is magnificent. Must do if you are around The exhibitions and videos show us the little-known history of these luxurious flying boats.

We really enjoyed our visit to this museum. It is a gem in an area where it is not expected. The tour guide was good and the initial film really set the scene. Some very interesting items to see. Well worth a visit

What an excellent visit. The museum is so well curated and there was something for everyone. Our eleven year old and seventy- eight year old enjoyed it with equal measure.

Very enjoyable and informative experience..loved the connection we felt to Bermuda with the Yankee Clipper! Followed up with an amazing Irish Coffee where the beverage was first created!

Definitely worth a visit. Very interesting to see.how the seaplane had a short high point before WW II on the Transatlantic route. Watching the clipper is also very nice, especially if.you.compare it with contemporary aircraft. There's also a big section on Maureen O'Hara. Nice to see but she's well before our time. The maritime museum part is less. The end with an Irish Coffee that has seen the light of day here for the first time is of course delicious.

Enjoyed visiting this interesting and eclectic museum at Foynes. There’s a lot of information and many exhibits about the actress, Maureen O’Hara. It has an Irish Coffee hologram exhibit - and a small cafe selling food and Irish coffees. Would recommend. Allow at least an hour to go around. We almost missed the maritime section and viewing tower. Plenty of onsite visitor parking.
