Our driver will pick us early for the long drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. Along the way we will visit the Equator for some photos and souvenir shopping.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
We will depart early morning departure accompanied by a UWA guide to search for one of the world’s most endangered animals, the mountain gorilla! We will descend deep into the forest to find one of the gorilla families. We will spend around an hour in close proximity to the gorillas, observing these magnificent, peaceful animals.

Depending on how long the gorilla tracking takes, we can spend the afternoon visiting the indigenous Batwa people. The Batwa are one of the oldest ethnic groups in Uganda, who live traditionally in the rain forests. Today, their culture is in danger of going extinct as they face increasing pressure from other. The tour will give you an insight into their way of living, their history and culture. This tour is at an additional cost and dependant on finishing gorilla tracking with four hours left for the Batwa tour.

This was one a trip to remember. .took about 8 hours to western Uganda. .the early morning 2 hour trek was bit exhausting. .muddy. .all the bushes and tree cover . .abit of a drizzle but seeing the first batch of gorillas was exciting. .managed to see them swinģing about. .had an excellent tour guide thanks to wild troopers and an experience I would def try again
