Your guide and van will pick you up at your hotel and proceed to train depot to check you in; upon disembarking train you will reunite with your guide and the remainder of your tour will begin touring the Grand Canyon and same guide and van will return you to your hotel.
Learn all about the history, geology, and more with a fully narrated tour of the Grand Canyon's South Rim as we drive through this beautiful and diverse landscape. You will also take a one-way first class train ride. Trip also visits Cameron Trading Post on the Navajo Reservation and Little Colorado gorge with views of the Painted Desert. Please note our cancellation policy is to notify us 72 hours in advance of your tour to receive a full refund.

5.00The tour guide, Cat, was terrific. She shared a lot of educational information. She was great about keeping the team on schedule. She clearly has a warm relationship with her counterparts. The views were unimaginable and breathtaking. The train ride is very VERY slow, so be patient. For anyone with mobility challenges, be aware of the many opportunities throughout the day for viewing the Grand Canyon that require getting in and out of the tour bus (shuttle van). The day was very long but also very worthwhile.

5.00We absolutely loved the tour with Andrea as our driver and guide. We all agreed she was by far the best tour guide we've ever had. She was knowledgeable and informative, without being annoying the way some guides can be, and had a very nice, casual and friendly manner. I add also that Great West Tours are fantastic. We had booked the Grand Canyon tour and train ride, but that morning our daughter came down sick, and my wife was going to do the tour alone rather than lose the deposit etc. Great West Tours very kindly allowed us to reschedule for the following day and changed the train reservations and everything. The tour was great and I highly recommend the train ride in the first-class dome carriage at least one-way, if not return. Andrea dropped us off at the station in Williams, which is very interesting with a little cowboy theatrical performance. The history of the railroad is interesting as are the carriages. There are refreshments and drinks on the train and some cowboy entertainment. We enjoyed the scenery from the train and felt very privileged to see a herd of wild horses. The last part of the train ride into the canyons is very scenic. Andrea met us at the station at the Grand Canyon and shuttled us in the tour van to the restaurant and lookout, where we rejoined the other members of the tour who didn't book the train ride. We had lunch and Andrea drove us through the park stopping at all the vistas and vantage points, for photos ops etc. We felt we had thoroughly "done" the Grand Canyon by the end of the day. We then drove to the Navajo tourist trading post, where we had 30 minutes to shop for Navajo arts and crafts. Andrea then returned us, dropping off guests in Flagstaff and then the rest of us in Sedona. It was a long day, but very much worth it, very much enjoyable with Andrea, and we can cross the Grand Canyon off our bucket list. Thank you Great West Tours and Andrea for a fantastic and memorable day.

5.00Andrea was a very knowledgeable and a fun guide! The view was excellent and the historical information along the ride was insightful. Andrea was our hero as she navigated a blown tire on the road. Andrea was calm and got someone to make repairs. We made it safely back to our hotels. Excellent tour!

5.00We got stuck in stand still traffic on our way to the meeting point in the morning. These people kept in contact with us and worked with us to get to another meeting place once we were moving again so we wouldn't miss the train. The went out of their way above and beyond to make sure we were able to have a great experience. Special shout out to Cat and Max, we can't thank them enough!!

5.00We booked this one way trip to the Grand Canyon. I highly recommend booking the dome car - wouldn’t even get 4 stars without it. Good service, clean facilities and quick trip. Because of our tour, we weren’t able to explore the town of Williams, but given the opportunity I would do it again and spend more time in Williams.
