We booked this experience as an English speaking couple and the assumption that we would be two of eight people. We were picked up on a coach that was much larger and the tour was in English, German and Spanish. The guide was really helpful in organising everyone. The coach was comfortable air-conditioned with charges and toilets on board and panoramic windows and the driver was excellent. We were on the bus fairly early and waited just under two hours for the bus to collect everybody and head up from where we were staying to the first stop on the north of the island. The stop was just over half an hour whether there was a beautiful church and a few shops, we could’ve done with a bit longer but there was a lot of stops on our trip today. Like other reviews of suggested a few of the stops do seem to be centred around selling opportunities for local businesses. One of them was opposite a spectacular view and there was a shop selling various local ways that we were encouraged going in and sample honey rum various treats and browse the merchandise, but we were only there for 15 minutes and it wasn’t excessive. Another one was at aloe Vera plantation. Where they clearly very proud of their products. We had a practical demonstration on some of the products which is a bit of a sales pitch if I’m honest and I got to browse the shop for a bit we didn’t buy anything but I can see that these might be products that some people wanna buy. Of the other stops we did, only two were really touristy with things to see the other three were views/sales opportunities. I should stress nobody was pushing us to buy anything and it was fairly relaxed. As others have commented lunch was good value for €15 but the quality was on the lower end of the scale. Personally, if we were doing this again, I’ve just bought a sandwich and we just sat in the restaurant and had a drink rather than food. The views were spectacular. There was a number of comfort stops throughout the trip and plenty of places you could buy a drink or something to eat or a knickknack. The best thing about this trip was the spectacular views from the bus we started the journey in Maspalomas. We got to see a tourist areas along the coast the industrial zone and had views of the main city La Palma in the north. The bus then went up into the mountains and the environment changed from urban to desert to tropical to Woodland to desert again as we just send it from the peak. I could honestly say the views from the bus were worth the price of ticket, they were incredible. The tour guide was really good provided a little bit of information about where we were and our English was excellent. She was also well organised. The bus driver manoeuvring a large Coach down cliff side roads with traffic coming the other way never made us feel unsafe once, he was really really good. We paid about £70 for this and felt it was good value for a day out from the resort. You can probably expect to spend at least another 30 if you want to buy lunch and probably another 10 if you wanna buy a coffee or a few other drinks, plus whatever spending money you want for the various stools. I’d recommend this and if we came back to Gran Canaria, we would do it again simply because the views were incredible. It is also true and worth noting that most of our day was spent on a coach.

What an amazing experience, our guide was very knowledgeable and funny and just made the trip. It is a long trip and has many short stops. We would've liked more time in a couple places but otherwise absolutely no complaints.

A great tour where we saw a lot of the interesting stops and lunch was great with fantastic views. We especially enjoyed the drive to the centre along winding roads. Tour guide gave excellent information.

Really great trip. The guide Simon knows a lot of the island. I learned a lot of Gran Canaria. We visited the northern part of the island first and traveled via Roque Nuble back to the south. You see that the island has different climates. Tip: take a light summer jacket with you. It can be cold in the mountains.

There is too much time on board the bus, or at commercial opportunities for the coach company to make extra money. The trip was around 7 hours long, 1 hour of that was lunch at a pre-arranged restaurant which presumably has a commercial relationship with the tour company, and around 45 minutes was. at an Agave farm, which sold products and again the tour company presumably gets a cut. There was no time off the coach to walk and explore the area around the best feature on the trip, Roque Nublo, unfortunately.

Knowledgeable guide who provided easy to understand historical and factual commentary in both English and German. Nice short stops to see the villages of Arucus and Firgas. Stunning scenery as large coach made its way up into the mountains. Excellent driving skills by the driver, tight hairpin roads so avoid the window seat if you're afraid of heights! Lunch at the restaurant was very, very average but the setting and views were good. Would have liked more time seeing all the rock formations and scenery at Roque Nublo. Aloe Vera plantation was interesting but felt like a sales pitch. Worthwhile trip if you want to see the majority of the island and the contrasting landscapes in a day but try and go on a clear sunny day as it wouldn't be as good if cloudy.

First of all we booked for a maximum 15 persons group and only English language guide. We have got a 40-50 persons bus/coach and a guide struggling with three different languages. We don't like such big groups and to travel by coach, so this was very on the negative side to us. Too short time given in Telde , Firgas and Arucas, used more than a hour for lunch. Lunch was average but cheap, 12 euros for a soup, main course, dessert, a wine and water included. We visited Telde, Arucas, Firgas,Valleseco and we stopped at some Miradores high up in the mountains. The tour and information given was average, I wouldn't recommend it,only if you are keen to sit on the bus 60% of the trip.

I give 3 points, as 4 already means very good. Organizationally good. Guide spoke Spanish, English and German. Destinations as promised. Now the criticism: spent all day in the coach (about 50 people), on the narrowest streets and serpentines. Due to the size of the bus, braking repeatedly in oncoming traffic, or tight curves. Bus driver drove very well though. If you want a tour with smaller buses or similar, you should look for alternatives. We had other tours in Gran Canaria and were disappointed when a large coach was used.
