In one of the most biodiverse places in Europe, you will discover the most beautiful landscapes and experiences that the Arrábida has to offer - magnificent limestone escarpments, small caves and marvellous coves and brief encounters with the pulsing wildlife of the Professor Luiz Saldanha Marine Park. Offering a unique perspective over the coastline, this tour includes a stop at the Ribeiro de Cavalo beach, one of the most beautiful wild beaches of Portugal.

From our driver to our guide, Leiticia, our interactions with the people behind Vertente Natural were above and beyond. The kayak trip itself was an unforgettable experience. Leiticia was informative and educational about history of the area and sights. She first told us the route we would take when we were on dry land, but assured us she would be flexible, depending on our wants, since it was just the 3 of us. The beach we stopped at was beautiful! The sea caves were breathtaking. This excursion is a must do for any kayak enthusiast!

Absolutely loved David! He was so patient and very knowledgeable of the area. We got to see some really cool caves, found a pregnant seahorse and learned some cool facts about the tectonic plates. Would absolutely return and will request David as my guide.

We were not informed that the weather conditions at sea would be very windy. On the contrary – we were told the conditions were “perfect”. The introduction before the tour was unfriendly, hasty and chaotic. On the water, the wind became so strong that it drove us dangerously far out to sea. Eventually we were spotted by lifeboats and brought ashore. Even during the rescue, the staff were extremely unfriendly. In the end, we had to pay €120 for the return in an extremely questionable way – although the dangerous situation was clearly caused by a lack of information and false statements about the weather. There was no realisation from the provider that this could have been communicated at the outset, and no acceptance of responsibility for the risk we were exposed to. I've done over 20 kayaking tours before, but I've never seen anything like this. Overall a very bad and also dangerous experience. The incompetence of the provider is appalling. I would strongly advise against booking here.
