Step into 460 years of history on the most popular walking tour of St. Augustine.
On this engaging small-group experience, explore America’s oldest city with a knowledgeable local guide who is part-historian and part-new friend and brings the streets, buildings, and stories to life. Discover how five different flags once flew above the Castillo de San Marcos and shaped the city’s unique past.
Walk along the historic harbor, take in views of the oldest masonry fort in the United States, and explore the oldest grid street system in the country. Along the way, you’ll learn about the people who left their mark on St. Augustine, including Juan Ponce de León, Pedro Menéndez de Avilés, Henry Flagler, and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Designed to orient you to the city, this tour gives you the context and confidence to explore St. Augustine on your own after the walk, and we also highlight our favorite spots to eat and drink along the way in the "Best Food Town in the South"!

Russ was our tour guide and we loved every minute of it! We were very fortunate that Alex (owner) opened a new tour for our large group. Russ knew SO MUCH, and he was so so funny. I loved walking around St. Augustine and hearing so many insights. Also - I was a little worried about the exertion level (because I'm recovering from a cold), but it was a super relaxed walk and I didn't feel exhausted at all. We had several teenagers with us and everyone enjoyed it - Russ kept all the ages engaged. Thank you Russ and St. Augustine Experiences - we loved it!

Excellent introduction to St Augustine by a friendly and knowledgeable guide. The small group nature of it made it very easy to ask questions and get to know the deep history of this lovely place.

Alex was our leader, and was excellent in providing an overview of Florida and St. Augustine history. He was enthusiastic, and it was a lot of fun. Alex also provided a list of recommended restaurants/pubs, etc. I would definitely recommend.

Amy was very knowledgeable about the history of St. Augustine. She also provided some history of the 1960’s Civil Rights movement activity that took place here we were not aware of. Finally, providing names of restaurants she eats at.

Perfect opportunity to discover the beauty and fascinating history of our oldest US city in a short amount of time. Russ made our visit well worth the time. He kept us entertained with interesting stories and plenty of “Dad” jokes. His knowledge of the area is incredible. The tour and follow up email included recommendations for further dining and historical investigation on our own. Can’t wait to return for the Bourbon and Whiskey Tour!

Alex was a great tour guide. Very knowledgeable on the history of St Augustine. He was very.enthusiastic and we really enjoyed the walking tour and learned so much. He also was kind enough to contact the other tour guests to ask if they were OK with us bringing our dog. : ) it was our first time to the town and he gave us many recommendations for restaurants and ice cream shops. Highly recommend!
