Right on the first 500 m we saw water buffalo, rhinos and gazelles right at the side of the road. The guide moves the Jeep into the best camera position so that even with the mobile phone camera unforgettable, dreamlike pictures are achieved. The wireless networking and the practiced eagle eye led us to cheetahs hiding in vain from our cameras. When it began to rain, the guide left the jeep despite being close by and handed out rain-resistant tarpaulins. We saw many rhinos - all without horn - taken off preventively for protection from poachers - a shame! Elephants were also on the move, only lions and crocodiles got in front of the lens in 2 1/2 hours. Nevertheless, an unforgettable experience.

Hluhluwe Game Reserve was our first bona fide safari. Luckily our guide named William was an expert on all the animals we saw and could answer all of our questions. You really feel you are in Africa when you can visit with the animals in their natural habitat.

Good experience but shorter than advertised. We returned to the gate at 11am- should have been 12pm based on a 4 hour Half day drive being advertised.

A half day game drive in the Hluhluwe Game Reserve was part of the 2 week organized trip I did in August. We were picked up at 5am and arrived at the reserve just before sunrise. This is a huge park, but we were not short of sightings. From larger than life elephants, giraffes, antelope, beautiful white rhinos with their horns and their babies. The packed breakfast was a proper treat. The vehicles were very well maintained and the driver/game ranger was a lovely companion for our group.

Morning tours allow you to admire the sunrise and wildlife. The evening tours at sunset over the landscape. The guides give good explanations. We didn't see a lion but all the other animals offered magical moments
