What To Expect
My Son Sanctuary
We will begin our day trip by visiting My Son, the capital and religious center of the former Champa Kingdom, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Nestled in a lush green valley, My Son features dozens of red brick towers and sanctuaries dating from the 7th to the 13th century. After exploring this historic site, we will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
The Marble Mountains
In the afternoon, we will discover the Marble Mountains (Ngu Hanh Son), meaning “Five Elements Mountains.” Here, you will have the opportunity to explore stunning natural caves and enjoy breathtaking views from the mountain’s summit. The Linh Ung Pagoda, located within the Marble Mountains, has been designated a national historical and cultural site by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. We will also visit Am Phu Cave, where you can experience a replica of “Heaven and Hell.” Listen for the echo of bats’ wings as you contemplate the mysterious pagodas and nearby sculpting village.

5.00We had an unforgettable experience on our tour to My Son Sanctuary, Lady Buddha, and Marble Mountain. The places were absolutely stunning! I loved this tour because everything was perfectly organized — they were very punctual, flexible with photo stops, and gave us enough time to explore each location. Our tour guide Abby was amazing — very knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive, as was our van driver. I 100% recommend this tour! When I return with my whole family, I’ll definitely do it again.

5.00An adventure-packed day ! My Son is a must-see, it's way more vast than one sees in photos, it's a green Paradise ! Lady Buddha offers a beautiful panorama of the city and Marble Mountain's caves are equally impressive. This experience would not have been the same without our guide Mr. Tom, who took great care of us and answered all of our questions throughout the day.

4.00Pros: Guide was great, My Son Sanctuary is definitely worth seeing. Lunch was fantastic and exceeded expectations. Cons: Marble Mountain was not what I had expected, and was largely forgettable and a slight (but not complete) tourist trap. I would recommend doing the first half only for My Son.

4.00The first half of our tour was My Son, which was interesting and the ruins quite impressive although we felt this part of the day was a bit rushed and could have been better. The latter part of the day was Marble Mountain which was fantastic although climbing the mountain was quite physically challenging. First we visited the local marble retailer/carving workshop which was amazing. The range of marble statues was mind-blowing! I suggest though you compare prices locally in Hoi An before you buy too much as I saw many of the items I bough cheaper elsewhere later. The Marble Buddha on the mountain is beautiful and the climb up to this point is fine. Our guide didn't warn us that we were going to climb through a small cavern with steep marble rocks to reach Heavens Gate. The climb was difficult and slippery with no actual stairs and coming back down not much better for someone middle aged and with a bad knee. I enjoyed Marble mountain immensely but would probably have thought twice about the climb through the cave if I had known beforehand.
