They’ll take your money without having a permit available. Like many other tour companies on here! A complete waste of time.

I booked a last-minute ticket and, unfortunately, couldn’t get Circle 3. However, Carlos managed to secure a ticket for the same day with a 2:00 p.m. departure. He contacted me promptly, and thanks to him, I was able to visit Machu Picchu without any issues. The tour guide, booked through the same Machu Picchu center, was very flexible and accommodated the change, even though my entry date shifted. They also handled my return ticket arrangements flexibly, which allowed me to get back to Cusco smoothly. They responded even late at night and in the early hours, which was incredibly reassuring for a first-time visitor to Machu Picchu. This is a very reliable travel company for anyone unfamiliar with the area.

My husband and I climbed Huayna Picchu and the views are spectacular. The mountain is challenging in parts but overall very doable. It took us 2 hours to climb and 2 hours to go back down. We bought our tickets on the TripAdvisor website for 9/29/24, $200 for 2 tickets, but we were not emailed the correct ticket and were not allowed to enter. Without going through the tedious details, the punchline is TripAdvisor neglected to email our tickets to the Lima office, which I found out after calling the Help Center and speaking to the super helpful Francisco. He was able to arrange it so we could get tickets for the next day. The process to get the new tickets took up our whole day because we had to meet a local associate, Maricruz, who took us to an official office (maybe tourist) where we had to show our passports and get a number to return at 4 pm to then get our tickets. Maricruz met us at 4 pm with the money so we could buy our new tickets. Turns out the 2 tickets cost 400 Peruvian soles ($100 USD). So in addition to the inconvenient process of getting the right tickets, turns out TripAdvisor charges a 100 percent markup. Also, it was just luck that we had one more day in Machu Picchu city that we were able to do this. My one suggestion would be that if you do use Trip Advisor to purchase your tickets, before leaving on your trip, call the Lima office and confirm that they have your information.

We booked a visit to Machu Picchu for 4 people for January 29. Ref. Ns 1095030663, 1095034661 and 1095708081. We have paid upfront. From January 27 to January 31 the train service to Machu Picchu was suspended due to protests. We couldn't visit Machu Picchu since we had to travel back to Europe on January 31st. As a prove I can send copies of the boarding passes and other necessary documents. We are not planning to travel again to Peru this year. We want our money BACK!!! Thank you

Terrible. We booked tickets and flew to Peru, and with two days notice they cancelled our tickets in the high season where there were no other tickets available. They offered no solution and told us their “new system” wasn’t working. Terrible customer service and terrible that they couldn’t send us anything to print. We wouldn’t have gotten our money back if at all if we didn’t pester them, even though they cancelled our tickets!!! Just awful. I can’t say how poor it is that this agency left us in a lurch like this and gave us no notice.

Be very careful when booking this ticket. It is not actually confirmed although either Tripadvisor/tour operator take your money immediately and send you a confirmation email. Upon receiving this I then went ahead and booked a non-refundable train ticket to extend my trip so that I could go on this hike, as well as booking another night in a hotel. Fortunately I was able to cancel the hotel when about an hour after booking I received a WhatsApp to tell me that I actually did not have a ticket and they could only offer me a time slot on a different day which would have been impossible for me to use. Needless to say I then had to wait a few days for a refund but was not able to get a refund on the train ticket which is now useless. Very disappointing. The person messaging me was nice enough but it was pretty unprofessional.

Your tour guide makes a huge difference. There are stinging wasps and pointy plants to be mindful of, so you aren't startled on the very narrow, steep steps. The view from Huayna Picchu is incredible, and really gives a sense of how much work and logistical planning the Inca did. I can't recommend it enough.

Personally, I climbed it from the village hot waters walking and it was a nice experience, beautiful scenery and international company.

We bought Huaynapicchu tickets for January. We received our tickets within a few hours and all information was correct on the ticket. We presented our ticket at the entrance and had no problems getting in. The hike to Huaynapicchu was a little challenging for us but we made it to the summit.
