A bit tedious, the QR code doesn’t get you on the bus, you have to stop at a counter first to get a bus ticket which the process isn’t straight forward but good to get advanced tickets.

Long queues, disorganization, continuous screaming, dirty and poorly maintained buses, abandoned drivers and unfriendly. Were it not for the fact that the alternative is to climb a few hundred steps they would have no business and would be forced to improve their service. The pain of monopolies.

The ride going up to Machu Picchu was amazing since the views were magnificent. The buses were comfortable for a 30 minute ride, the line was orderly and they left on time. You have to have a valid ticket otherwise you will not be allowed on board.
