The quality-price ratio is not there, I did not understand why they think that going to see the poor (as the guide expressed it) as if it were a circus, would be pleasant for foreigners, when in addition, indigence and poverty are evident in the streets of Manila everywhere, as there are in many parts of the world, and it would also be a representation of the local lifestyle. I asked not to go to see more of the same things I see in the world, but they took me very close. It was interesting to walk around the market, see how it operates, the different products they sell, etc. It was done in your tuk, as was a short tour of Chinese. More time should have been spent inside the walls, which is also beautiful and very historic, including the main churches and the cathedral, as well as the municipal palace. A two-hour tour and a high price for this. There are more interesting things to know about Manila.

If you’re coming to Manila, this is one of the best things to do in your spare time. Take a journey through history by visiting the oldest Chinatown in the world, located in Binondo. Walk through the vibrant streets filled with traditional food, temples, and local shops. Then step back in time with a tour of Intramuros, the historic walled city built during the Spanish colonial era. It’s a unique way to experience the real culture, heritage, and heart of Manila.

We had a great tour with our very friendly and knowledgeable guide, Floyd. He was enthusiastic in sharing Manila’s rich history and culture and happy to answer any question that came his way. Exploring Old Manila (Tondo), Chinatown, and Intramuros by foot, by a golf cart type taxi, and via jeepney was fantastic. The tour itinerary was also very well-planned. The highlight for me was probably being greeted in Tondo by friendly locals and children happy to share their neighborhood and way of life with us. The tour and Floyd did not disappoint! We were thoroughly engaged and enjoyed every minute. My daughter and I booked the tour, but there were also 2 solo travelers in our group, so it’s really a tour for anyone. I highly recommend this tour to any traveler who wants to learn more about the rich heritage of the Philippine people of Manila.

I had two guides who were very nice and informative. I felt like I truly got the local experience. Venus and Jane were very sweet people. They were like an older sister and mom to me.

The tour operator canceled the tour less than 2 hours before it was scheduled to begin. They cited weather but there was absolutely NO weather problems in the area. I would never recommend this tour because they did not fulfill their commitments and provided a lie as an excuse.

We had an incredible experience on the Manila Chinatown and Intramuros Tour with a local guide! The tour was a perfect blend of history, culture, and culinary delights. Walking through the vibrant streets of Chinatown, we sampled authentic Filipino-Chinese dishes that were absolutely delicious. Intramuros was breathtaking—our guide brought the stories of the Walled City to life with engaging anecdotes and deep historical knowledge. They were patient, friendly, and answered all our questions with enthusiasm. The architecture, cobblestone streets, and stunning views made it feel like stepping back in time. I highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to immerse themselves in Manila’s rich heritage. It was well-organized, informative, and fun from start to finish. A must-do if you’re visiting the city!

Venus was a fantastic guide! She communicated well and it was super easy to find her at the meet-up point to begin the tour. Venus has such a magnetic, engaging personality and was very generous in sharing her experiences while we walked through Tutuban centre, China town, the wet markets & residencies. I then continued my tour with Jane who showed me the sights at Intramuros. Jane has such a wealth of knowledge and was so kind in explaining to me what life is like inside the walls of Intramuros. Not to mention the views she guided me to! I would recommend this tour to anyone looking to start exploring Manila. Thank you so much again, Venus & Jane. Salamut!
