5.00Theodoros worked hard to accommodate our request for transportation to an olive mill we preferred to go to as well as the ancient ruins. He arranged a private driver for us and our day in Katakolon/Olympia was one of the best days of our trip. It was also a very competitive price, almost better than the local taxis waiting for tourists getting off cruise ships. As cruisers, we wanted to ensure we got to see what was important without the stress of cutting it close to our sail away time. Nickolas, our driver, was not only gracious but very enthused and educated about the area and its history. He spoke excellent English and was very accommodating. His main objectives seem to be that we relaxed and enjoyed the locations and the history he was so very proud of. BONUS: Our lunch experience (his recommendation) at Taverna Osteris was our best meal in Greece and we truly enjoyed being among the locals. Thank you, Nicholas and thank you, Theodoros. We hope to see you again.

5.00We loved our tour day with this driver! He picked us up from the port and then we went to the Greek ruins of old Olympia, we stopped at a honey farm and had a small tour and tasting, I brought home some honey, and it is so delicious. Still one of my favorite parts of the trip! After this, we wound our way up an amazing hill to a monastery perched high above the city. It was breathtaking to experience and a little bit different. I would definitely recommend this tour and driver to anyone. He had a great attitude and was a lot of fun to spend the day with. For deals u can also find him at- a k i s t o u r . c o m . Admission to the archaeological site and museum was about €20 apiece, the honey farm tour was about €12 apiece and bring a few euros for the monastery too. I got some really delicious honey and hand cream from the honey farm that I brought home and have really been enjoying. The monastery does require a special attire, but they had something there that we could put on to go inside if you weren’t wearing the right clothes.

I asked if we can get my money back Theodoros Mamousis was very helpful and generous and gave us a full refund for missing our trip he showed exceptional customer, service, generosity, and kindness. Next time in port we will definitely use his services and recommend him to our family and friends.

5.00He is a local native. Picked my parents and my selft up to Olympia at the Cruise Terminal of Katakolon. After looking around Olympia with another guide I made an appointment for better explanation, I came back to the Cruise Terminal as well. He was very kind & provided many explanation while driving.

5.00We were accompanied during our private excursion to Olympia and a beautiful monastery by the guide Theodoros Mamousis, simply very prepared and passionate. We were fascinated by the old town of Olympia but especially by the visit of this monastery perched and with a spectacular view. A gem that we could not have seen without our special guide who, speaking Italian, told us anecdotes of the monastery. Thank you Theodoros.

5.00We booked our tour to Ancient Olympia with Akis Tours (Theodoros Mamousis) while visiting on the Norwegian Epic, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. We were a group of 40 people, and everything was handled smoothly and professionally. Communication was clear and consistent both before and during the tour. The bus was modern, clean, and very comfortable, and our driver was friendly, helpful, and always on time, exactly where he said he’d be every time. The visit to the ancient ruins of Olympia was fascinating, followed by a lovely walking tour through the town and a delicious local lunch that gave us a true taste of Greece. Everything ran on schedule, allowing us to fully enjoy the day without any stress. We highly recommend Akis Tours to anyone visiting the Olympia area a professional, well-organized company that truly delivers an exceptional experience!
