We were accompanied during our private excursion to Olympia and a beautiful monastery by the guide Theodoros Mamousis, simply very prepared and passionate. We were fascinated by the old town of Olympia but especially by the visit of this monastery perched and with a spectacular view. A gem that we could not have seen without our special guide who, speaking Italian, told us anecdotes of the monastery. Thank you Theodoros.

Very passionate guide. He knows his history. He called for us to verify if our tickets would be ok for the time we bought it. He was speaking english and french. As we are french speaking from Montreal / Quebec, we really appreciate the fact that he was able to speak to us in our language. We recommand this guide for sure

We booked our tour to Ancient Olympia with Akis Tours (Theodoros Mamousis) while visiting on the Norwegian Epic, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. We were a group of 40 people, and everything was handled smoothly and professionally. Communication was clear and consistent both before and during the tour. The bus was modern, clean, and very comfortable, and our driver was friendly, helpful, and always on time, exactly where he said he’d be every time. The visit to the ancient ruins of Olympia was fascinating, followed by a lovely walking tour through the town and a delicious local lunch that gave us a true taste of Greece. Everything ran on schedule, allowing us to fully enjoy the day without any stress. We highly recommend Akis Tours to anyone visiting the Olympia area a professional, well-organized company that truly delivers an exceptional experience!

We came back to Olympia and Theodore was our tour guide once again. We chose him for his professionalism and great attitude. He is fun energetic and doesn't only provide a tour but rather a whole experience! He even tried to help us learn Greek! We ended up eating at a local tavern and by now we consider him a family friend. Recommending Theodore wouldn't be enough to express my gratitude. We're so glad we met him and had a wonderful experience with him for the second time.

We had so much fun on this tour with Mamousis! He was waiting for us when we got off the boat with a sign with our name. We hopped in his air conditioned van and he spent our drive to Olympia telling us all about the area and history. When we arrived he walked with us to get the right ticket and told us exactly what to do first so we missed all the crowds. It worked out perfectly. We also very much enjoyed our private wine/beer tasting at a local family winery. We were the only one there and it was the highlight of our time talking to the owner and learning about their family and winery. Mamousis stopped and pointed out other highlights along the way. We asked to be dropped off at the shopping strip by the boat and he was glad to do so. He also gave us a bottle of his homemade olive oil which we got home in our checked bag without a problem and have really enjoyed it at home. It is fun to remember our trip everytime we taste it. I would highly recommend.
