What To Expect
Experience the Magic of Kilimanjaro in One Day The Rainforest Hike Start your journey at Marangu Gate, hiking through a lush, emerald rainforest. This is the greenest part of the mountain, filled with ancient trees, exotic flowers, and hidden waterfalls. Wildlife Spotting Keep an eye out for the rare Black-and-White Colobus monkeys and Blue monkeys that live in the canopy above. Your guide will point out unique bird species and mountain flora along the trail. Mandara Huts & Lunch Reach Mandara Huts (2,700m), the first base camp of Kilimanjaro. Enjoy a relaxing picnic lunch at the iconic wooden huts while soaking in the peaceful mountain atmosphere. Maundi Crater View Take a short stroll to the Maundi Crater rim for the ultimate reward: breathtaking, panoramic views of the snow-capped Kibo Peak and the plains of Kenya in the distance.
