Walking Tour in kochi with a local guide. Experience the highlights of Fortkochi and Mattancherry with a local Expert born in same city who speaks good English. You will get the benefit of a local who explains about the history of the local attractions in a local way. During this tour along with the historic monuments, you will also experience the real life of the local people which is the main attraction of the tour. In Fort Kochi You will visit traditional Chinese fishing nets , St Francis church,Santa cruz Basilica church etc. After you will be transferred in Tuk Tuk(Auto Rickshaw) towards Dhobhi (local Laundry)and then through local streets visiting Old Hindu Temple and towards Mattancherry to visit historic Jew street where the Jewish community still exists after walks towards Dutch Palace, where the Cochin Royal family were living, now a museum under the Archeology. Later towards the Traditional Bazar market visiting Spice warehouses, Womens Co-operatives etc in the town.

Biju was a really fantastic guide, very knowledgable about Kochi’s history and current events, very friendly, helpful and happy to answer any of my questions. The tour included all the key places of interest in Fort Kochi and Mattancherry, and all at an unrushed pace, with plenty of opportunities for photos. I would thoroughly recommend this tour, and I learnt and saw so much, with my great guide.

A Fascinating and Insightful Heritage Walk with Biju We had a wonderful time on Biju’s Heritage Walking Tour around Fort Kochi and Mattancherry. It was fascinating to learn about the rich history of the area and Biju’s storytelling really brought the places and events to life. We especially appreciated being shown things we would never have discovered on our own - from the old spice warehouses to candle making and tailoring in the Jew Quarter. Biju’s friendly and engaging manner kept us interested throughout, and his passion for the area’s heritage truly shone through. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to experience the real character and history of Fort Kochi.
