What To Expect

Get picked up from your hotel on Koh Lanta if it is situated near the main road from north to south. The exact pick-up time will be confirmed by email after you have made the booking. Depart from Saladan Pier in the north of Koh Lanta and cruise aboard the Ao Nang Princess ferry to Ao Nang with a short stopover at Railay Beach to pickup/drop-off other transferring guests. Get dropped off at Nopparat Thara Pier in Ao Nang from where you will be transferred to your hotel in Ao Nang, Krabi Town, Ao Nam Mao, Klong Muang and Tubkaek Beach. The ferry service operates only during high season.

Good transfer which included a hotel pick up to take us to the pier in Koh Lanta & then a drop off at our hotel in Ao Nang. Was good value for money. Ferry crossing was smooth & air con was great! The usual chaos at the pier trying to get on the boat as there is no queue system & is a free for all, is my only slight moan!
It can be a bit chaotic, but gets you there

The ferry ride itself was fine, not overly crowded and comfortable in the cabin. While there were not any issues, the boarding / arrival process was a little hectic - very little direction, just kind of had to follow the herd. But they got me to my destination hotel!
Double check timings before booking.

The boat was great and we paid for the VIP area once aboard. We left 17 mins late (not a problem), but then with picking people up from one boat and moving the exact same people to another and then having to get a longboat to the pier (we didn’t have to do this the other way) we got on land 1 hour 10 mins late which meant we had to rush to the airport to get our flight. Not the best experience at the end but the initial part was lovely.

The ferries are not fancy (from any of the companies), but we were super impressed with how well run this trip was. From the pickup at our villas to the ferry boarding and the surprise taxi to our condo in Ao Nang, we felt well taken care of and everything went smoothly. I would book this trip again!

Left on time. Pretty Fast, efficient, Cleaner than the previous Ferry, but the toilets were disgusting.
Don't do it, go by road.

Ferry broke down mid journey. Communication non-existent. Life jackets difficult to locate. After several hours stuck at sea, we ended up on a vomit inducing non-air conditioned tub for most of the trip. Took about 6-7 hours overall. Overall appalling and would not recommend.

Very pleasant trip. Good communication from the Ao Nang travel company - they collected us from the hotel and dropped us back on our return. Very good value for a 2.5 hour trip

Awful experience. Bus was on time but very little guidance was given on what we needed to do. Then the boat took over an hour longer than it should have, with no communication, a missed stop and the final destination changing so the transfer at the end was longer. Again it was very confusing to get a transfer with a random guy waiting at the port.

Pick up bang on time, wonderful crossing on the ferry. Bit of a free for all to get luggage off the boat in Ao Nang but quick ride to our hotel. Great way to travel and cheap as chips.
