What To Expect
Todai-ji Temple
Tōdai-ji Temple, located in Nara, is one of Japan’s most important and historic Buddhist temples. Founded in the 8th century during the Nara period, it is famous for housing the Great Buddha (Daibutsu), a massive bronze statue of Vairocana Buddha and one of the largest bronze Buddha statues in the world.
Nara Park
Nara Park is a large, beautiful public park located in the heart of Nara and is famous for its friendly free-roaming deer. These deer are considered sacred messengers of the gods in Shinto belief and have lived here for over a thousand years.

5.00This was a great day with our driver Sam who was very accommodating to change the itinerary to suit our needs. His communication was very good sharing his knowledge of the various sites that we wanted to see. He was always checking that we were comfortable on the drive and at each site. 5.00Sam was the best driver/tour guide and we had an absolute fabulous day! Sam took us to all the must see sights but also was accommodating when we wanted to do extra shopping at try different foods. Having a private car and guide was perfect and this tour is such an amazing value. If you’re lucky enough to get Sam, you’re in for a treat. Do yourself a favor and book this tour!! Highly recommend!

5.00Just car and driver. Not much commentary, but would answer questions when asked. Driver took us to very interesting sites, allowing us as much time as we needed. We using WhatsAp to arrange pickup points and driver was very prompt. Good English language skills and was a good driver.

5.00Haider, our guide, was great! He accommodated my mum's walking needs (she couldn't go up too many stairs). He also picked us from Osaka, which was greatly appreciated. The Ginkaku-ji was stunning and there were many interesting souvenir shops in Gion. The Bamboo Forest was also scenic, although it was overcast when we went so it could have been better. Overall, we enjoyed the tour very much!
