Your adventure begins with a convenient pickup from your hotel or Airbnb. We’ll drive approximately 45 minutes to the charming town of El Castillo, where you’ll enjoy stunning views of the drier side of Arenal Volcano and Cerro Chato. At our launch site, our certified guides will welcome you with a short safety briefing, provide you with all the necessary gear, and offer bottled water to keep you refreshed. We specialize in small groups to ensure a personalized and intimate experience, allowing for better interaction with your guide and more opportunities to connect with nature. We’ll paddle a scenic 6-kilometer roundtrip route across the calm waters of Lake Arenal. During our two hours on the water, you’ll have the chance to spot a variety of wildlife, including howler monkeys and birds such as the Tiger Heron, Great Egret, Anhinga (Snakebird), Toucans, Red Macaws, Little Blue Herons, and many more. To finish, you’ll enjoy a refreshing selection of fresh Costa Rican fruit and drinks, followed by a relaxing soak at Paradise Hot Springs and a satisfying lunch or dinner, making this the perfect end to a peaceful and memorable day.

Door to door service with a coffee/snack/food and toilet break at about the half way mark. The road after the boat ride is far more rough, however the driver tried to stay on the less rough side of the road when possible. Steep mountainous terrain with impressive views, lots of cattle.
