If you are visiting the southern part of Lake Atitlan this is a tour you cannot miss. This tour will take you to mountain tops and lookouts of San Pedro la Laguna. Here we visit a few look outs located above the village where we are able to enjoy great views of San Pedro and San Juan La Laguna, the lake, and the Indian Nose aka “Rostro Maya or Nariz del Indio”. After the look outs of San Pedro we have our longest drive of the tour going all the way to San Marcos la Laguna passing the town of San Juan and San Pablo La Laguna. In San Marcos we visit the Natural Reserve of “Cerro Tzankujil”, where we can take a swim on the lake or enjoy the views from the rock / mountain formations. After enjoying some time at the natural reserve we will hop back on our ATVs and head back to San Juan La Laguna, where we visit the famous lookout named “Kaqasiiwaan” viewpoint.To get to the actual lookout we have to hike about 15 minutes up the steps which takes us there.

He clearly explained the entire tour itinerary, each stop, what to expect, and the timing — giving us a helpful heads-up so we could fully enjoy the experience without surprises. We truly appreciated how flexible and accommodating he was. He made adjustments when needed and ensured everyone felt comfortable and included. His patience never wavered, and he took the time to answer all of our questions with incredible knowledge and insight. Beyond being an excellent guide, he connected with us on a human level. We had meaningful conversations about life, culture, and personal experiences — it didn’t feel transactional at all. By the end of the tour, we felt less like customers and more like family. 5.00We had a fabulous time on this ATV tour with John Carlos our leader. We drove through small villages stopping for a few short hikes to scenic view points. We visited an eco park with cliff jumping as well as other nice sites. It was just the 3 of us in the group and the pace was exciting and fun. We would recommend this to anyone and the price is really very inexpensive . It’s a great value and a really good introduction to some Atitlan villages . So glad we signed up for this adventure!!!

There were just the two of us which allowed us to see the Mirador in San Pedro and San Juan, a honey tour, San Marcos, San Pablo, and the Nature Reserve in San Marcos. We would definitely recommend. We learned so much about the culture and this area from our guide.

5.00I'm not one to write reviews but this really was the highlight of our 6 day trip. Very beautiful scenery while driving, the water reserve was very nice as well. Driving the ATVs seemed a little intimidating at first but you get the hang of it fast. Would definitely do it again.
