Great experience, Mike our tour guide was very knowledgeable, explaining the history of the area and pointing out all the points of interest. Johnson Canyon and Lake Louise were spectacular.

The tour did not abide by the times allocated at each location to those shown when booking. The visit times were not equally distributed for each location with a mere 20 minutes being allocated to Emerald Lake. We spent most of the time on the bus, rather than concentrating the stops in a smaller area.

It’s good especially for people who don’t have cars. Even if you do have a car the parking seems to be a nightmare and the tour buses get priority so much less walking to the sites. This particular tour was offered by a third party tour operator. Check their website first before booking with Viator as we paid $80 more than what the company was charging for the benefit of booking through Viator. Isabella that drove our bus was knowledgeable and a good driver weaving through the other large buses. There were 11 people on our bus and we were allocated a particular time we could stay at each spot we visited This allowed people with different abilities and interests to do there own thing. Was a good day considering it was a public holiday and all the all the places we visited were very crowded. We did get to good views of the spectacular natural beauty at each of the spots despite the large crowds.

This tour covers many of the amazing sites around Banff National park. If you are lucky enough to have Mike as your guide you will learn a great deal about the history and geology of the area.
