What To Expect
Tandem skydiving is an incredible experience, and at TTS, we are passionate about making your skydive a memory to remember. On arrival, you will go through the safety briefing and our available camera options, then get kitted up with all the equipment you need for a safe experience. Meet your experienced tandem master, and the adventure begins! First you'll enjoy a scenic plane ride up to 12,000ft, 15,000ft or 16,500ft (depending on the altitude option you choose). You’ll see incredible views of Lake Taupo, Mount Ruapehu and Mount Ngauruhoe – also known as Mount Doom from Lord of the Rings. Once you’ve reached altitude, the doors will open, you’ll sit on the edge of the plane with your tandem master seated behind you. After exiting the plane you will freefall at speeds of 200 kph! At 5,500 feet your tandem master will deploy the parachute and you can catch your breath while taking in the stunning views of the Lake Taupo area. Float back to earth with a relaxing parachute ride with your tandem master, arriving safe and soundly back at the drop zone. Once back on the ground it’s time for a high five and a hug. You did it!

5.00This was my first-ever skydiving experience, and it was a 16,500 ft skydive. I was incredibly fortunate to have an instructor like Elad — professional, attentive, and funny. Even though I had no background in extreme sports whatsoever, having him there made me feel completely safe and confident. His level of expertise truly impressed me. It was absolutely a fantastic value-for-money experience. I highly recommend anyone visiting Taupo to give skydiving a try at Taupo Tandem Skydiving. P.S. By the way, I was lucky enough to have my jump right around sunset. Seeing the sunset over Taupo from that high up was absolutely magnificent.

5.00Honestly such a blast! I was blessed to go with 16 of my friends, and to be able to afford the 15000m dive. I was terrified before the plane took of, but my instructor was very gentle with me and was a le to give me more peace, so thanks to Dave Taylor!! He should get a pay rise. Also thanks to God for giving me the courage to do it. To anybody who hasn't gone, I would say go 100%. One of the best things I ever did. Thank you Taupo Tandem Skydiving!!!
