Welcoming guests to Kauai since 2007, Luau Kalamaku is Hawaii's only luau show performed “in-the-round,” offering optimal views of the stage. Witness the unearthing of the pig from the traditional imu (underground oven) and enjoy a hula lesson. A craft fair featuring unique items by local artisans awaits on the sprawling lawn. Feast on a delicious buffet of local and familiar favorites and enjoy a Mai Tai from the open bar. The main show tells the amazing story of the ancient Hawaiian legend of Kalamaku “child of the new land." Through laughter, fear, seduction and fire, a new legacy is created, born from the cherished seeds of their ancestors. The theatrical luau show culminates with a fantastic fire dream featuring fire poi balls and traditional fire knife dancing.

The show was absolutely amazing but the food was lacking, service was amazing as well. Wish bar had more drinks like pina coladas or margaritas. And more dessert selections.

Their attentiiveness and kindness went above and beyond. The pork and teriyaki chicken were delicious. The show was a beautiful story. It held the crowds attention. Highly recommend

It is a high energy show about Hawaii myth and history. The dancers were very skilled and the food was excellent. Venders were everywhere but there was no high pressure to buy. The bar was open, but you could get non- alcoholic beverages that were very good.

This amazing event acted out the history of the people of Hawaii, as well as their dances and music, all of which were stunning. There were local artists selling their products before the Lu’au started, and the photographs and jewellery were all stunning. I could have spent a fortune, but had to limit myself, unfortunately! We had a very good buffet dinner, which was delicious, with an open bar included, while the music and dancing entertained us, but once everyone had finished eating, the main story started and was completed with the most amazing fire dances. A wonderful evening and an experience not to be missed.

The show and amenities were great! This show included more artistic, broadway influence performances. The food was typical luau food. The open bar was severely lacking with minimal drink options. Only 2 wine and 2 beer options. The liquor drinks were too sweet and cheap tasting. Even if they added a cash bar with premium options to include better beer and wine options, I wouldn’t have minded paying more.

Overall, the entertainment was pretty good, but the rest of it seemed a bit unorganized, and the food was nothing special.

I thought the experience was expensive, the food on the buffet wasn't that great. The Hawaiian dancers did a great job. The people doing the dances with the fire were amazing. I enjoyed see all the different costumes.
