Welcoming guests to Kauai since 2007, Luau Kalamaku is Hawaii's only luau show performed “in-the-round,” offering optimal views of the stage. Witness the unearthing of the pig from the traditional imu (underground oven) and enjoy a hula lesson. A craft fair featuring unique items by local artisans awaits on the sprawling lawn. Feast on a delicious buffet of local and familiar favorites and enjoy a Mai Tai from the open bar. The main show tells the amazing story of the ancient Hawaiian legend of Kalamaku “child of the new land." Through laughter, fear, seduction and fire, a new legacy is created, born from the cherished seeds of their ancestors. The theatrical luau show culminates with a fantastic fire dream featuring fire poi balls and traditional fire knife dancing.

What To Expect
Experience an authentic Hawaiian luau amidst the splendor of Kauai - the garden island. Luau Kalamaku combines traditional luau elements - a Hawaiian feast, hula dancing and an imu (underground oven) with an award winning, theatrical performance. Gather under a massive open air pavilion to enjoy live music and a buffet dinner of local Hawaiian favorites. Grab a Mai Tai from the open bar before the lights dim, signaling the start of the theatrical and fiery show which chronicles the story of ancient Hawaiian's epic sea voyage from Tahiti to Kauai. Optional add-ons are available including convenient roundtrip transportation from many Kauai hotels, a train ride around the heart of Kilohana Plantation or a seating upgrade to bring you even closer to the main stage.

3.00The show was amazing but the food was poor! No taste to the fish and the chicken was rubbery. The salads were good but even the desserts weren’t great.

2.00We all enjoyed the show. The food however was very disappointing. Even the desserts weren't tasty. I was hoping for some great fruit, but very little was there and no pineapple at all. I've had better food in school cafeterias..

4.00Food was mid. Staff were nice. Expected better for the dancing part meaning i wanted more. Went couple of years ago and the performance almost made me cry. Felt like i was watching a luau competition. Good job though.

5.00The family (15 of us) ages 1 to 63 absolutely loved this was the one of, if not THE, highlight of our trip so far! Highly recommend doing the train ride and sitting up closer to the stage (gold package) as it makes such an immersive experience. The food was delicious (and I honestly didn’t expect much from a buffet but we all agreed it was soooo good!) the open bar was perfect for our adult kids who also loved the animal experience during the train ride more than the little kids LOL. I would give definitely recommend this!
