An aperitif consisting of typical dishes of Salento cuisine will be offered.
Selection of wines, produced and bottled in the Leverano countryside, ranging from fresh and aromatic whites, to delicate rosés, up to intense and full-bodied reds, including the prestigious reserves.
It is a journey to discover authentic traditional flavors, the link between cuisine, territory and local wine traditions. The experience begins at 18:15 at a pretty villa with garden on the outskirts of Lecce, lasts about 3 and a half hours and opens with a typical Lecce drink. Each of the participants will produce their own amount of dough needed to shape two types of fresh pasta, orecchiette and macaroni wire. After the first type of pasta will be offered an aperitif based on local products at Km.0 and typical wines. During the aperitif, the cooking of the sauces for pasta dressing will be started and all the preparation phases will be illustrated. Then we will continue with the second type of pasta, macaroni wire, silhouettes made with a typical tool called "Caturu" that will be given as a gift to participants. After transforming the flour into unique and delicate shapes, we will dedicate ourselves to the pleasure of the table, tasting the small works of art made and indulging in friendly conversations. The event will end with the dessert while the glasses fill with “Limoncello”.

Right on time our host Fabio picked us up from the old town and drove us to his home. His wife Lisa had delicious appetizers and wine waiting for us. They both were so kind and comforting & they made us feel as if we knew them forever. Then the pasta making started! They were patient and encouraging. Lisa explained to us how she made the 2 kinds of sauces prior to our arrival. Everything was delicious. And we ended our meal with panna cotta and homemade limoncello. It was a fun night with a lot of laughs, food & wine. We left feeling as if we found new friends and also learned to make orecchiette. Thank you Lisa & Fabio!

I cannot put into words how fabulous this cooking class experience was. It is 10 stars. My group of 7 ladies joined by 4 others had a wonderful connection all because of the amazing hosts - Fabio and his wife Lisa. Their home was beautiful, their appetizers and wine in their garden was such a joy and their cooking class was the best ever. 2 different pastas with all the tools needed for each person to make PASTA. If you are looking for a cooking class in Lecce, look no more. Book this.

We had an unforgettable evening with Lisa and Fabio. They taught us not only to make the pasta but imparted the importance of the tradition of coming together to do so. We were fortunate to have 6 other wonderful people join us as well as the couple we were traveling with. The sauces Lisa made to accompany the pasta were delicious as were the appetizers, wine and limoncello!
