• Return from Milford Sound to Queenstown

  We opted to fly back to Queenstown from Milford Sound, after our cruise. We were introduced to our pilot (whose name i have forgotten, sorry), and taken to the airport. We were allocated seats, the pilot explained the trip and safety on board. We took off out over the Sound, before turning and heading to Queenstown. Our pilot was knowledgeable and pointed out many features. He also had a good sense of humour. Definitely a must in my opinion.

  Annabelle was an amazing pilot. The flight was very smooth and during the flight she pointed out sights and landmarks. The cruise around Milford Sounds was great too. Besides the incredible views, flying to Milford Sounds and back turned a very long daytrip on a bus into a half day trip.

  Absolutely unforgettable experience with Glenorchy Air. I was lucky enough to be seated up front with the pilot, Annabel, for both flights. She’s an excellent pilot but also a genuinely lovely person. The views were breathtaking, the flight smooth, and the whole operation felt professional and well-run from start to finish. The Milford Sound cruise itself was spectacular, but the flights were the real highlight for me. As an aviation enthusiast, being up front and chatting with Annabel about the aircraft and flying in such a unique environment was an absolute treat.

  We had incredible experience with Glenorchy Air, we had lots of questions and requests and the customer service we received was exceptional! Big shoutout to Elliot and Katie for being super accommodating and friendly. The Milford flight-cruise-flight was amazing, the pilot Will was very knowledgeable and the whole day was so smooth. Would recommend this company to anybody!!

  Our pilot, Joseph, was absolutely amazing. You can tell he loves his job. Smooth takeoff, flight, & flawless landing. Great narrative during flight. Made sure everyone could see key sights by turning plane around.

  This was a great way to see the sound from two perspectives. We flew from Queenstown in a light plane over spectacular mountain scenery of glaziers and lakes. Isabel, our pilot pointed out numerous landmarks on the flight to Milford Sound and the flight from the mouth of the sound to the Milford Sound airport was a great view. We then boarded a Southern Experiences boat for a cruise out to the mouth of the Sound and back that lasted for over 90 minutes. We then flew back to Queenstown on a slightly different route. The climb out of the Sound was just as spectacular. We departed at 9.00 a.m. and returned to Queenstown at 1.30 p.m. within the scheduled time.   Fantastic flight/s, fun engaging guides, & absolutely incredible scenery. Milford Cruise was spectacular. Special to see dolphins & seals also. Overall just a smooth enjoyable once n a lifetime adventure. Thank you Glenorchy for providing such an experience.
