Our studio is located in a fascinating cave, a space rich in history and atmosphere that has been adapted to house our contemporary art gallery.
MENA FUECO offers a selection of funky and unusual ceramic works with a strong personality and an extraordinary story to tell.
Works that deserve to be seen,
artists who deserve to be known.
MENA FUECO is the art of encounter.
It stems from the impulse to celebrate the creative fire that vibrates within us.
To indulge and share the demiurgic spirit that finds happiness by experimenting, assembling, playing with shapes, colours and materials.
We want to tickle that part of each of us that has never quite ‘grown up’.
That inner child who still makes us look at things with awe and wonder, whose eyes linger curiously over even the most minute details, and whose hands cannot resist exploring hitherto unknown textures and shapes.

Let's get our hands dirty! In this immersive experience, you and your companions will discover the art of pottery directly at the source, in a studio located inside an ancient underground oil mill, nestled in the heart of Grottaglie's Ceramics District. Guided step by step, you will learn how to shape clay on the potter's wheel, creating objects such as small vases, plates or bowls with your own hands. No experience is required: we will take you through each step, from the introduction to the materials to the realisation of your first creation. This experience is not just a workshop: it is a journey into the Apulian handicraft tradition, allowing you to get in touch with an ancient practice in a cosy and inspired environment, through a unique experience that few travellers have the opportunity to live. Unfortunately, our studio is not wheelchair-accessible - being a historic building, the only way to access the underground oil mill is via a stone staircase with 12 steps.
Duration: 1 hour: With this option, you will only attend an interesting demonstration by the tutor, who will perform traditional forms
