What To Expect
Lake Louise
Lake Louise is a glacial lake within Banff National Park in Alberta, Canada. It is named after the Princess Louise Caroline Alberta, the fourth daughter of Queen Victoria and the wife of the Marquess of Lorne, who was the Governor General of Canada from 1878 to 1883. The turquoise colour of the water comes from rock flour carried into the lake by melt-water from the glaciers that overlook the lake. The lake has a surface of 0.8 km² and is drained through the 3 km long Louise Creek into the Bow River. Moraine Lake and Lake Agnes are also accessible from Lake Louise.

Our driver and guide, Christie, was absolutely fantastic - knowledgeable, friendly, and made the whole trip so enjoyable. The scenery was breathtaking and Christie shared so many interesting facts and stories about the area. Highly recommend this tour and especially Christie - she was the perfect guide!

4.00Was a comfortable bus ride to the lakes. The driver did give some commentary on the way. Missed the official bus booking and wanted to get out to lakes. Would have liked a little more time to be able to hike and enjoy views, but understood still on a time frame and given that was a good mix.

5.00A great half day tour! The lakes were surreal & stunning; definitely worth the trip. I appreciated the free bottles of water provided. The tour guide seemed somewhat nervous to drive and speak at the same time but gave some relevant facts on the trip to get to each destination. Overall we had a wonderful time & still got to explore Banff after the drop off in the afternoon at 4pm.
