Join our experienced guide for an unforgettable day hike on Mount Pilatus, one of Switzerland's most famous mountains. From Lucerne, we take the bus to the Pilatus valley station. The cable car takes us up to the summit and we enjoy the spectacular views of the mountains and Lake Lucerne. Once at the top, an easy hike takes us to the Tomlishorn - the highest point on Mount Pilatus. At 2'132 meters above sea level, the views are spectacular and with a bit of luck you might even spot an ibex. During the hike our guide will tell you interesting facts about the mountain, its flora and fauna and its legends, such as the Pilatus dragons. After the one-hour hike, we take the cable car back to Fräkmüntegg for a well-earned lunch. We grill over an open fire for a real Swiss barbecue experience. Then we take the cable car back to Kriens and the bus back to Lucerne.

5.00We had an amazing time! Starting in the city centre of Lucerne our guide Caroline took us to Kriens from where we went to the top of Mount Pilatus by cablecar. Beautiful, easy and rather flat hike with a spectacular view - we even spotted ibexes 😍 The BBQ lunch was a great experience: delicious food (also vegetarian options available) with views to the beautiful lake. 100% would recommend😊

5.00Amazing authentic Swiss experience. We are a couple travelling from the US. We met our guide in Lucerne then travelled with the group by bus to Kriens - super easy. Reached the top of Mt. Pilatus by gondola - woow what a stunning ride! On top we did the hike. In the description it said 1h which is pretty accurate. I was a bit hesitant first as normally i‘m not a big hiker but turned out I was perfectly fine! We all enjoyed the explanations of our guide and took tons of photos. The highlight obviously was the BBQ!! We grilled our Swiss sausage over an open fire pit. The bread was amazing too and wow the view. Truly an amazing experience I‘ll never forget and can only recommend to any traveller visiting Lucerne.

5.00The hike up Mount Pilatus was simply fantastic! Our guide was great—friendly, funny, and very knowledgeable about the region. The view from the top is incredibly beautiful, and the BBQ afterwards was really tasty and cozy. All in all, a great experience that I can absolutely recommend!
