Mukuni Village

See our daily life at Mukuni Village. Unlike other villages that have been reconstructed specifically for tourists, Mukuni is still an authentic community. You can interact with Leya people who are going to tell you about their daily lives. Along the way, culture enthusiasts can learn about the local customs and traditional building techniques from our guides and villagers. Our guides and the people of the village are more than happy to show visitors their huts and take you inside, explain how they are built and decorated, introduce you to various craftsmen and women at work and ask you to taste some traditional foods and beer. This is a working village, not a purpose built tourist attraction, and it is a privilege to be welcomed into their lifestyle.

Victoria Falls

After the village visit we will take you to the Victoria Falls where you will embrace the spray of mist from the thundering Falls on a guided tour of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Learn about the history and geology of the site from us as you watch the Zambezi River spilling over the rock cliffs into the Batoka Gorge below. We will also offer coaching on how to capture photos of the 5,604-feet (1,708-meter) wide, 354-feet (108 meters) high cascade.
