  I hate buses, especially large ones on tours. But we couldn't rent a car so we booked this tour. Imagine my delight when I found out that we had a private car to take us to Mycenae and Epidarus. Nikos, our driver, was wonderful. He gave us some commentary about the surrounding area and what we were about to see. The details of the ruins was up to us which was fine. I think the company should indicate that this tour is really a private car with driver. It was such a pleasant experience.

  This tour was amazing. We left Nafplio at 830 and had Mycenae almost to ourselves. To walk through the lion gate and through the remains of the city in such a peaceful way was fabulous. The honeycomb tomb and Epidaurus- not just the theatre but the whole of Askeplion’s sanctuary was truly awe inspiring. Kostas was a fantastic guide and driver. He told us so much about Ancient and classical Greece- myths, culture, history and civilisation and also about the whole Peloponnese area- climate, crops, environment.   It's was just a bus ride to the 2 sites and then back to port. Very little speaking by driver and no guidance of what to see on arrival. There was also no guide available on paying the entrance fee. Slightly disappointing and had to read all the displayed signs to get much from the ancient sites. The views were quite nice. Nothing much left standing of the Mycenaeans works

  All three sites (Agamemnon’s tomb, Mycenae and Epidauros) were impressive and atmospheric. We were able to soak up the atmosphere and appreciate how incredible it is that these survive still in some form.

  We had a great driver Costas. The two main destinations were amazing and we enjoyed walking around the old town afterwards. It was wonderful just being in a van with just one other couple rather than a busload of people.

  Nico and George were our drivers to Mycenae and then to Epidaurus in a private auto. Nico provided an informative commentary about the countryside and all of the archeological sights that we saw. He also gave us an additional short stop in Nafplio to visit the clock tower, and afforded us the opportunity to take some additional wonderful photos. It was a wonderful day with wonderfully friendly and accommodating hosts.
