Olive oil is the basis of the Mediterranean food chain, which has been proved to be a model of a healthy diet and longevity. Since ancient times, the Greeks have been involved with the cultivation of olives and the production of olive oil.
The optimal time to perform this unique trip is the harvest season, this period is from mid-October until mid-January every year, where we have the opportunity to collect the fruits of a tree and to turn them into pure olive oil.

We pick you up from our meeting point and we head to Epidauria land and a picturesque village, rich in olive oil production.
Passing through endless olive groves, we arrive at a modern mill, where we wander to the self-owned groves and we get to know all the secrets of the olive tree.The next stop is the interior of the mill, where the fruits are transferred into the mill to become olive oil. We learn all about the stages of processing of olive fruit into pure olive oil and our experience ends by tasting unique varieties of products, like pure olive oil on fresh bread, fruits of olive and Greek feta cheese served with extra virgin olive oil, olive pâté, sweet and traditional olive liqueur.

A wonderful drive through the olive grove region ending at the source for olive oil anufacturing. Be prepared to be impressed.

We ended up being the only visitors on our tour date, so it was basically a private tour. We had a great time and learned a lot about the process of harvesting olives and making olive oil. Anastasia is the queen of olive oil and she gave a great tour of her family’s farm. She was excited to answer any questions we had and taught us how to properly taste olive oil and what to look for when buying it. The food at the end was truly delicious, the vegetables were fresh from Anastasia’s garden and the olive oil was obviously amazing!
