This pleasant hike of moderate difficulty will take you up to the top of the most popular mountain in the Cycladic island cluster: Mount Zas!

Once you reach the peak, there are many things to be proud of! Not only will you be at the highest point in the Cyclades, but you’ll have hiked to the summit of the mountain where Zeus, Father and King of the Olympian Gods, was raised.

The trail you’ll be following is exactly the same trail people have been following to the top of the mountain since ancient times. The vast blue of the Aegean Sea will accompany you along the way, while the view of the neighboring Cycladic islands is breathtaking. When you’re at the top, the 360 degree view is worthy of the Gods!

Once you reach the top, you’ll spend some time taking photos and having a delicious traditional treat. After you take in all the beauty, you start on your way back! At the end of your hike you'll enjoy a delicious traditional picnic!

Really fun and beautiful hike, definitely a highlight of our trip. So glad we didn’t just do the hike on our own- the guides were so knowledgeable about the area, history, flora/fauna; it added so much to the experience

This hike was an absolute blast - Anastasia and Nick did a phenomenal job making sure everyone had a great time, the pace was great for our group, and there were plenty of stops filled with information from the two guides. The view from the top can't be beaten and is definitely worth the hike up. Some spots were steep, so we'd definitely recommend taking them up on their offer of walking sticks. They saved an ankle or two on the way down! And the lunch at the end? Was absolutely amazing! All in all, and absolute must-do excursion if you're on the island

Our tour guide, Nick, was great! Although moderate hike, he let us take our time, took time to explain the vegetation and points of interest. He focused on safety and gave good tips to make the hike easier on your body. We thoroughly enjoyed the hike and our guide. Would recommend to anyone that enjoys a good hike!

This is an amazing hike with gorgeous 360 views at the summit. Our guide, David, with Trekking Naxos was terrific with our small group giving us very interesting Naxos and some Greek history along the way. We also had incredible views of the island and countryside during our trek. Highly recommend this hike! It was moderately strenuous but very doable and the view worth it !
