Newgrange
Newgrange is one of the most important Neolithic sites in the entire world. It was build over 5,000 years ago and predates the Great Pyramids of Giza and Stonehenge. This is your chance to explore the passageway and inner burial chamber of Newgrange and view the largest collection of megalithic art within Europe. Brú na Bóinne Visitor Centre also offers interactive exhibits, detailed models, and information displays about the Neolithic period in history and explains the significance of these prehistoric monuments. Note: To skip the queues, we recommend using our concierge service. With this option, we can handle purchasing of your Newgrange admission tickets for you. If you choose to proceed, please contact us us after booking this tour online, and the cost of the tickets will be charged separately. The price per person is €18. Note 2: Travel time from your pick up location is included in the time spent on this attraction.
Knowth Megalithic Passage Tomb
Knowth is a prehistoric site renowned for its Neolithic passage tombs. Located in the Brú na Bóinne complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Knowth dates back over 5,000 years. It features a large central mound surrounded by 18 smaller satellite mounds. The main mound contains two passage tombs adorned with intricate megalithic art, including spirals, circles, and other symbolic carvings. These engravings make Knowth a key site for studying ancient European art and culture. Excavations have revealed evidence of continuous use, reflecting its significance through history. Today, it remains a vital link to Ireland’s ancient past.

5.00We had such a great time on our private tour to Newgrange and the Boyne Valley. Owen was warm, welcoming and so easy to talk to - by the end of the day it honestly felt like we had made a new friend in Ireland. He knew so much about the history and legends of the area and shared it all in such an engaging down-to-earth way that made the experience unforgettable. The drive through the Boyne Valley was beautiful and we loved being able to go at our own pace without the stress of a big group if you’re visiting either Ireland, we 100% recommend booking with Owen for a tour that feels personal relaxed and like you’re exploring with a friend. For a fun story, ask him about the Tilley hat he is probably wearing.

5.00Owen gave us the most fantastic tour. He picked us up in Dublin and drove us to Knowth and new Grange. He has a spectacular knowledge of the area and the history. His understanding is vast and deep. His stories were funny, fun, and educational. He was attentive, kind and shared fully, his knowledge and understanding of the area and the history. 5.00We couldn’t have been happier with Owen! I knew we were going to “click” after we exchanged some texts the day before about pick up. My wife and I were delighted to find a luxurious ride, (a lovely leather bound Jaguar,) and one of the most knowledgeable and humorous drivers you could hope for. We felt we’d made a good friend for life in a matter of a few hours. We loved the Knowth and New Grange experience! Owen found us a pub for lunch, with delicious food and atmosphere, and he gave us choices of venues for our final stop of the day! (We chose Trim Castle.) Altogether, a delightfully fun and rewarding day with Owen!!
